Depending on your department, management can be a little less great. Almost all of the managers and directors are approachable and easy going but if you are a hard worker that is generally taken advantage of and more (a lot more) work is placed on you. It's almost like getting punished for being too efficient.
Because the job security is so great (not meant to be sarcastic), some managers have a hard time letting anyone go that actually needs to go. As an example, I had personally experienced an employee that did so little, their work was passed onto me and 3 other people in the department. That was on top of the large work load I/we had already. This went on for over a year. They were spoken to numerous times but it never changed anything. It only ended when they left of their own accord.
On a separate note, most employees are also CU Members. This "class" of Member is not treated like the "regular (non-employee) Members" I had personally been told by a Manager (when an employee messed up an interest rate on my personal loan) that if I was a "regular Member" this would be fixed immediately. Well, I wasn't, and IT wasn't. I never did get my rate fixed.
