Hiding behind good pay to create a sense of "Agnico the Good" 60+ years of distance from reality, they only see what they choose to see Racism, nepotism, ageism (and that goes both ways), cronyism runs rampant The ‘in crowd’ is all French and they are the chosen few who get advancement opportunities; moved around to learn/grow while the small group of experienced workers watch and do the work Takes years to be accepted/trusted (unless you’re French), no career paths in head office – lots of smart people with nowhere to go for years…. New ideas get quashed under ‘that’s not how we do it here’ Bad employees kept because they don’t want to ever let anyone go, believe they need to guarantee people a livelihood even when they are low performers – a huge impact on morale At corporate people are just numbers/headcount - CEO likes to emphasize that and that success is only achieved if you arrive at it the way he did. Stated that not every department is equal – so some groups are just more important than others. They talk about making change, but leaders hide behind what they tout as 'culture' and 'values' as a shield to really seeing what they need to fix and then actually fixing it. Lack of true change is the only constant.

Full of favoritism more than anywhere else. Lots of personal and family connections working there. Family connections trumps everything and everyone. Top management is mostly from Quebec and they only look out for their own. They don't support anyone else. No opportunity for advancement in the head office. Opportunities are reserved for friends and family. Management is resistant to new ideas . Behind the times in their thinking. Nothing new or innovative to see or learn.
