Pros

Before the HR director was let go suddenly and the HR manager was openly attacked in a meeting by the CEO for being responsible for an operations process. It was getting better. Fair wages, moral boosters and motivation incentive! Changing culture for the people! Benefits are very good, so far.

Cons

The women here seem to be expected to work outside their roles and responsibilities and the expectation between male counterparts is grossly skewed. If you stand up for yourself or a fellow employee, you will be fired or harassed/intimidated to the point of quitting. If you speak out on your treatment by management and report it. Fired or temp agency called stated “services no longer needed” females let go at a much higher instance and all at once, no place to repurpose their skills. Kept the men that wanted to trade places. Complaints made fall on deaf ears. Accused of “annoying” the consultant and executives. You will never get hired full time if you come on as a temp. Moral is starting to slide since the peoples director and manager have been stripped of all involvement. Grossly understaffed. Lack of leadership Lack of training Lack of career movement Lack of quality Moving manufacturing out of country

We have listened to the comments and have made specific efforts to hire individuals who represent the values of Airgain. The people here believe in the products and the future of the company and has brought in several team members to bring in the help needed by the lines of business. It is a journey for us, however we are doing our best to move the company in the best direction.

Archaic Sexist Executives

Pros

Good benefits and 401(k) with low employee premiums

Cons

Executive management has failed this company. Some male executives are self-proclaimed "alphas" and extremely sexist. "Make sure the pretty girls are at the tradeshow booth to attract people." "She doesn't need that big of an increase, her husband's family has a lot of money." Actually, all the executives are male….albeit the required by law female BOD members. Other executives are aware of this behavior and when claims were made, including by HR, they. were. let. GO. Top leadership has ZERO experience in leading anything. Respect has been completely lost, except by the alpha cronies that are kept close by because "they are loyal".

Pros

Unlimited Vacation, Stock option, Hours

Cons

Very much like a fraternity, if you're not one of them then they out you. You ask for assistance from your team, they ignore you or don't want to teach you everything because they want to keep their position safe. Management (not executives...will get there) don't understand the basics of their department, no assistance, rather watch you drown and fail than to help and push you to succeed. No structure in place. Now to the executives, they need to have most of their hands help and spoon fed to do anything. Being in meetings with them and they need to have the executive assistant click on JOIN MEETING on the screen because they "don't know how to join a meeting" is just sad. This is a technology company and yet the heads of it can barely understand the basics. Being told to you will be able to work remotely some days of the weeks, yet finding out you are not going to be working remotely is ridiculous.

Thank you for your comments. The culture of the company requires people to own their function and put their hand up right away if something is not known. Any tasks not completed fall on management, giving them a vested interest in ensuring team members are able to function effectively. The expectation is for employees to be available during normal business hours whether present on site or working remotely; with some positions requiring more face-to-face interaction than others. With changing environments both internally and externally, I agree that there is room for improvement in structure in many areas, however management created additional SOPs in tools such as Confluence for step-by-step execution of a tasks, inclusive of documentation templates. I am sorry you did not feel supported in your experience with us and will work to further improve these areas.
