Cons

Ohhh where do I start. This company gives their technologists an INHUMANE amount of responsibility and work. It is a revolving door. They do injections without a rad on-site which is COMPLETELY unsafe! I don’t care who you say your accredited by! IT’S NOT SAFE!! You can’t get up to pee without leaving your patient on the table and you don’t get a lunch break 99% of the time. Some of the centers are disgusting with food/trash piling up. There are so many incompetent site supervisors (with the exception of 1 who is currently leaving) and (some) incompetent front desk staff. There is one particular front desk lady (if you want to call her that) that failed to tell anyone in the office that a potential covid patient was coming in! Oh yeah, by the way, they allow covid patients to come in to get scanned on an outpatient basis! Unbelievable! They also don’t have proper PPE including N95’s. They think KN95’s are sufficient and those are not even readily available at most offices. Any good employee who knows their worth leaves! A lot of people have walked out without any kind of notice! I’ve heard that 20 employees in some other facilities walked out on the same day! That has to tell you something! They don’t care about employees and once you’re in they have an “I got you” attitude. They think they can treat you like dirt and get away with it. You’ll get hired for one location but once your in and people start dropping like flies (quitting) you will be sent to that location to cover. Then all of a sudden you find yourself permanently in a completely different location then what you’re hired for and different hours possibly. Then when you put in your 2 weeks, they BEG you to stay bc they are DESPERATE and try to entice you with more money or finally give you what you’ve been asking for! Instead of rescheduling patients who come in late, they will move your entire schedule back making you stay late. You are discouraged from having a life outside of work bc you are expected to “have no plans outside of work” on your work days to accommodate “stat” patients. They bend over backwards trying to accommodate their referring doctors but they are so disorganized they end up making them mad anyway! Benefits are a joke and PTO policy is a joke.

Pros

Plenty of opportunities to practice resilience. If you love surprises, you’ll enjoy the constant restructures! Free masterclass in navigating corporate chaos. Great place to work… if you don’t mind updating your resume frequently. You’ll never be burdened by a long-term strategy! Perfect for those who thrive in uncertainty and enjoy spontaneous career changes. Unlimited potential… because there are no set goals or direction!

Cons

Blink and you’ll miss the next CEO. Filed for bankruptcy in 2022, but don’t worry, morale went bankrupt long before that. The only thing that grows here is executive turnover. Private equity owns the company, and they treat employees like line items on a balance sheet. Layoffs are so frequent they should be added to the company calendar.

Pros

Remote working from home structure for non-clinical employees.

Cons

Akumin bought out Alliance and completely changed culture of organization. They got rid of leaders from legacy Alliance and the company's original Akumin leadership totally mis-managed the business and company ended up into a bankruptcy restructure that converted it from a public company to a private equity owned structure. BTW, the Akumin Sr. Executive leaders all were let go. There have been several rounds of layoffs since Akumin acquired Alliance. Company morale which once had a "familial and caring culture" has been significantly eroded. Previous Alliance leadership had transparency with sharing company's results and honest go-forward outlook. Not seeing this with new leadership.
