Pros

The employees who are focused on patient care

Cons

The egotistical, fear-driving, clueless, military-style robotic, conceited, baby, holding the company down, non-teambuilding, LD overseeing Florida.

Pros

worked alone, had down time sometimes. Good pay.

Cons

Management had no experience, thrown into job. Akumin took over this facility shortly before i joined, dealt with unworking computers, scanners, and everything else at this filthy facility. Faulty equipment with streaking and artifacts, but nobody cared because the rent-a-rads still read the studies. You needed 30 day notice to get a day off.

Pros

Coworkers holidays off weekends off bonuses quarterly

Cons

The biggest problems stem from upper management, not direct supervisors or front desk leadership. The higher-ups make decisions that often don’t make sense and start new initiatives seemingly to save money rather than improve operations. Many of our machines constantly break down—about once a month—and instead of replacing them, the company opts for refurbished parts that take forever to arrive and often don’t fully fix the issues. It feels like they’re just putting a bandaid on recurring problems. Front desk staff are overworked. Our job descriptions never mentioned taking inbound calls, yet we’re now expected to handle those while ensuring schedules are accurate, orders are in charts, and over 130 patients are checked in daily. The techs are also overloaded with patients, often unable to even take a short break. Patients become understandably frustrated, especially since all scheduling is handled offshore. The offshore teams weren’t properly trained and often make scheduling errors—double or triple booking appointments or scheduling exams we can’t perform. Our techs are some of the lowest-paid in the country, even among those who’ve been with the company for years. Management is difficult to reach when needed because they’re constantly in meetings—though it’s unclear what’s being accomplished, as nothing ever seems to improve. Instead, more and more tasks keep getting added to everyone’s workload.
