Pros

Nice Campus, decent small gym on site, decent benefits and time off for employees.

Cons

Middle management team at the clinical call center was atrocious. Cliques, in-fighting and working people to the bone. Very high turnover and crazy micromanagement and middling pay rate.

Hello, Thanks for your review. We’re sorry to hear you didn’t have a great experience working in our clinical call center. We appreciate your feedback and we are listening. We are constantly working on improving our call center environment and as a result, we are currently experiencing an attrition rate that is well below the industry standard. As with every company, there is always more to do. Please feel free to reach out to hrhelp@ashn.com if you have other specific suggestions. – Carla Berry-Ulrich Director, Customer Service

Pros

Weekends and Holidays Off, Casual Dress Code, Not Much Else

Cons

Multiple starting with highly Insane Micromanagement. Setting up call standards and call metrics that are not at all realistic considering the nature of the calls you have to take. Workers often disrespected my management, constantly threatened with PIPs, Terminations, that you can replaced by a temp or someone walking down the street. One manager in particular (to give an example) is a manipulative sociopath who constantly berates you, sometimes in front of other employees are even the entire call center floor. Her Manager is just a stooge who enables her. CEO clearly takes care of his own which includes maybe less than five percent of all employees (you do get an end of year bonus, but that's generally something the company can write off). When speaking at meetings he does not even talk to us as much as he talks at you. You share a floor with people who earn double what you make or more and none of them treat you with any level respect or dignity. It's sad really. On top of all that if you Google this company's name and add the world "Lawsuits" after the same watch the pages fill up. This company has been a plaintiff in multiple suits for not paying out or denying claims to "Members" or practitioners. Check their BBB page too, somehow they have a B+ rating when every single review is negative (How that have a B+ Rating is beyond me). Why DA's in many states are not looking into ASH's (in some cases) unethical and highly questionable business practices is beyond me and most others. Admittedly when I got to the company I had already heard a number of horror stories about ASH but chose to look past them and see for myself. After 4 years I can tell you unequivocally that every single horror story about this company is not only true but verifiable by more than a few people who have gone thru here or are still here. Advancement is non-existent unless you either get in well with the select few "right people" or know the CEO or at least VP. Also the health coaches are grossly underpaid, overworked and usually leave within a year or two anyways. If you are thinking of a career at ASH just stop now. Don't bother. Find another company to apply to instead (unless you are that desperate of a job (and I mean really desperate). You can do better that this company. If you get an offer from ASH and get another from another company, ASH is the throw away. The years I spent here I can never get back. I've moved on since I left. But do yourself a favor, simply stay away from ASH.

Pros

Join this company if u want to explore/learn something different, as this company’s process is completely different from the industry.

Cons

Worst pay in entire San Diego for a software company. I never wanted to write this review here but with this pandemic going on people from ASH are contacting me for reference within my new company and saying the same things what I have experienced there. So here you go - When I joined this company, I asked for joining bonus. Both HR and hiring manager told our company never gives joining bonus. This is a totally lies. A person who joined just 2 weeks after me got 6k as joining bonus. They could have been completely honest with me and say sorry not at this time. - While salary negotiations I compared my salary posted on glass-door and asked the Hr to increase it in my offer letter. Again she told sorry you are already in the highest bracket for this position and we always pay equal salaries across the company for same position with + or - 4% based on experience within the company. But again this is also a lie. I came to know this when I was about to leave the company that same level people across QA and front end engineer was earning exactly 15% more than me. I was so mad but I ignored it as I had already submitted my resignation. - Next thing(Based on what I have heared within the company but not experienced) if a person is promoted to next level within the company they are paid 10% less than what the company actually pays for a person who is newly hired for the same role. - This is a Health and Fitness management company, and employees here pay the highest premium(compared with companies in and around Sorrento Valley with same revenue) for Health insurance
