Thank you for taking the time to submit a review. Whilst I like the sound of "good company", as (y)our CEO, I want us to be considered a "great company". Indeed, I am aware that we have pockets in the organization where we are 'too lean at times', despite - actually - being a company which is growing in headcount and not cutting headcount. But, we are growing fast and our structures, processes and systems need to keep up. That said, in terms of structures & headcount, I believe, we are committed to hiring but many of our employees still get burdened down by non-value added manual work. If we could free up this time through the new & innovative technology agenda we have started and aim to complete by end of next year (upgrading & integrating our system ecosystem; applying artificial intelligence to some processes etc), I hope, we will all realize that we 'have sufficient time' and - perhaps, more importantly - 'spending the time' on the right things. Come and see me in my office, if - in your opinion - I am misguided in my view and / or if you want to let me know more details of why we are 'only' good and not 'great' yet... others might be happy with 'good'; I want you to consider (y)our second home - ie AMPLIFON - as 'great'... Yours, Marc

Pros

Flexible scheduling for call center between 7am & 7pm - will work around school/family schedule to best of ability. Metrics used as a skeleton guide rather than micromanagement. Work independently with the support of a team. Leadership are earnest, diligent, supportive.

Cons

Extremely inconvenient location. No transit access-not even suburban transit access. No transportation benefit. Currently struggling to maintain enough staff for coverage AND improvement. Although pay structure for call center will be improving in fairness so that the team has equal opportunity for commissions, etc, there's still some lack of a foundational investment in the call center employees and leadership.

Thank you for taking the time to leave such rich feedback. We are very proud of the work our Patient Care Advocates do and connecting with customers directly to help them on their hearing health journey. The lack of public transportation to our building is something we are working to address in 2018 with a possible relocation. And- while we are proud of the benefit package and flexibility we can offer our PCA’s, we really do want people to stay with Amplifon so we will seek ways to address the pay structure and incentive programs in 2018.

Pros

I had been with Amplifon(AHHC branch) for a number of years and had the opportunity to move out of the call center into other departments (Credentialing & Billing), I was satisfied with the opportunities until *read cons*. This is a great company with a great culture. I enjoyed working with my colleagues every day and even made some good friends. I had great managers who were throughly engaged. To this day I can say this is one of the best company I have worked for.

Cons

I had been with the company for several years and moved into three different departments and in the end I was still making less than $17 hourly (even with yearly reviews/ department move pay increase) however I thought I was making industry standards and didn't focus too much on the pay...that is until we had a new hire in the same role and I had found out the new hire was making $2 more than myself (of course pay is based on education/experience in the field however since I myself trained this person in and we got to talking - the new hire had less experience and same level of education). I felt underpaid and decided to look for a new job and as I interviewed with more companies (Fairview, North Memorial, etc) I found out that these companies were paying entry level much more than what I was making after 3 years (beginning wage $22 and up based on experience) doing exactly the same thing. I was sad to leave such a great company but ultimately the pay I was offered elsewhere was something I couldn't turn down and probably would've only made if I stayed another 10 years. The only real con was the pay, and maybe less room for advancement. I couldn't see a bright future there for myself. Unless a manager/supervisor was to step down, the growing stopped. There can be no moving up to that next level if the next level is occupied or non existent.
