Pros

-They offer 2 forms of salary: base and compensation. -The first 5 weeks of training are with new hires and specific training managers that pore a lot of time and energy in helping employees learn and succeed. -Everyone is remote.

Cons

-Cold calling is difficult but cold calling CONTRACTORS that get called 2x a week or every other week is VERY mentally draining and honestly abusive. If you can't handle being hung up on, called mean names, getting cursed at, this job is NOT for you. -Because of the way they prospect, they reenroll contractors from previous accounts, do not call lists, and call most guys numerous times a month. -After the 5th week of training, there are 7 more weeks of training on a team with tenured reps that is super overwhelming since they hold back information you should know and reiterate information you already know. -It is an extremely harsh, competitive, draining environment to work in that you cannot succeed in unless you are highly competitive, aggressive, and can manage the negative conversations to drive yourself forward.

Thanks for leaving a thoughtful review! We strive to provide resources such as training opportunities and a competitive compensation structure to equip our sales representatives for success. It's great to hear these benefits at Agni resonate with you. We understand that while exciting, sales can be stressful at times with each week (or month) varying from the next. Our representatives on the front lines with local service providers are instrumental to helping grow our platform and scale our services. We want all team members to feel supported during periods where sales may dip and provide additional professional growth and training opportunities to bridge this gap where possible. We also enlist a dedicated QA team to monitor calls to ensure our integrity policies are followed and as a resource to identify further ways to increase success while on these calls. If you have not done so already, we suggest team members who have questions to reach out to their direct supervisor so they can provide additional avenues to help with circumstances that arise while on calls. Thank you again for your review! - Tom Cheatham, SVP Sales Strategy

Pros

Working from home is an obvious positive, and the hourly wage alone is more than the usual hourly wage for most jobs where I live. I would stay as long as I could for those two reasons, but feeling challenged and encouraged both by my colleagues and managers has lit a fire in me. It's not an easy job, but my desire to be good at it is driven by the incredibly positive and wonderfully competitive atmosphere created in this remote space I share with my team. Individual success means we carry a winning record as a team.

Cons

I feel like thick skin and a nice smile are part of my "uniform" in this position. It's not an easy job, however non-laborous it may be. Cold calling can be exhausting and the numbers game can have anyone feeling defeated if you let it. Trusting what those around you have to offer as truth from their own experience is paramount to one's ability to stay the course. Possessing a competitive edge and developing a positive mental outlook are advantageous traits in this position.

Pros

There is unmatched opportunity to make money as a sales rep at this company as an entry level position. There are also great benefits and PTO plus work from home, so you couldn’t ask for more there! I never thought I would be in the position I’m in today financially and personally, all thanks to Angi. I make more than both my parents combined at my first job out of college and have paid off my student debt after 2 years at the company.

Cons

The company has a serious problem with its unprofessional and right leaning company culture. There is blatant sexism and racism daily and it is hard to deal with. For example, some sales teams or reps have nick names that are sexual in nature. I have had to correct my male supervisor on so many occasions it’s not even funny, in addition to the fact I know he has slept with 4 other women at the company below him. It’s gross. The management openly talks about gun loving, church going behavior that some people actually don’t appreciate, myself included. Politics and personal beliefs have no place at work along with their piggish behavior. Also, if you’re good at your job in sales, there’s nowhere to go in the company where you could be making more money. There are professional opportunities, but the pay is lower than a good rep, so only those who are mediocre take them. Leading to mediocre middle management and high turn over of top sales employees.
