Pros

There are many reviews from bitter ex-employees who fail to mention the pros of AssistRx. Some of the pros are constant free lunches, free snacks and drinks, beer cart, generous holiday parties at Cuba Libre, summer family events with jet skis, speed boats, drinks and also at Kings Bowling. There are company paid happy hours, and a lounge with video games.

Cons

Cons are different for everyone depending on position. Overworked managers do not have enough time to manager their teams. Training is getting better and there is lots of room for growth but you have to earn it like any other company. You will come across the usual office politics and some salaries are low for the level of responsibility.

not just a development death march...

Pros

Most of the people I worked with were great people, you have the occasional nut jobs in every job. When I started working there, we were all a tight nit family...it has changed to an open door orphanage methodology now...but before that...it was pretty good.

Cons

Working at AssistRx in ANY position there is like being asked to rearrange the deck chairs on the Titanic. You may do a good job getting those chairs in a row, but this ship is going down.

Pros

You've never gained more experience than you will here as a developer/PM/BA at ARX. The company has some great managers sprinkled here and there. Benefits are slightly competitive. Coworkers know how to have a good time; work isn't always too serious. Good location (just behind Milennia mall) New hires are immediately accepted into the group of lunch goers Things are currently looking up. There are always things outside of work to participate in like happy hours and Bike M.S. I was promoted a couple times based on hard work and didn't want to leave Work there long enough and you will be put in charge of something

Cons

I'm not sure if the experience you gain here is relevant to your career - but there is a sense of ownership when you complete something. Bad retention strategies - if any. I've heard it's getting better. Compensation below average for Orlando. Project managers have to work way too hard on stuff. No end of stress/pressure in sight - but people still have fun there. Long hours if you care (though, they don't pay you to care - the people who care more are taken better care of). AssistRx is a development shop, but nobody wants to admit it. They want it to be run like a pharmacy or a call center - old fashioned and top down decision making. Lots of employee negativity and backlash against decisions made by management. Not enough time to plan projects in advance. Takes on too much work at once.
