Pros

The people from the director level down are outstanding. They are people who care about the clients and want to make a difference in the world. This is the single best quality of Atmosera. The people are what made this business special.

Cons

Everyone wants to help but they cannot because they are inundated with work that could be prevented with some forethought. Expectations are poorly set from the day you walk in the door to the day you leave. Statements and direction are given with little thought to the actual tangible impact of the commands. The leadership of this business frequently either forget or go back on their word to employees and they will manipulate as it suits them. If you are told something get it in writing, even if you have to have the awkward conversation of "can I get that in email please?" Process documentation is used loosely and there can be five versions of every process. They will choose which they are following today based on the mood. Even then the documentation that every one agrees may not be honored particularly as it pertains to the relationship between the business and the employee. Transparency is a stunning weakness.

Hello, you're absolutely correct in identifying that we have great employees - across the board. Great employees - from leadership to our frontline technicians; from our highly credentialed experts to all of our fellow employees who play vital, behind-the-scenes support roles - are who are helping us build a great company. We've been in business since 1995 and we've enjoyed this tenure through our ability to adapt, evolve, pivot, and continuously improve so we skate to where the puck is going to be (provide incredible baseline services but always improve, always innovate to maintain relevancy for our employees and clients in a very dynamic tech industry). We're currently one of the top app & data, Azure and security service providers in North America, if not the world (we certainly operate in just about every Azure zone around the world). You don't get to that position without forethought, planning, and being intentional... and you certainly don't get there without great employees (or the opposite of that... you don't get there with mediocracy). At any rate, I do appreciate your contributions and when I think through your comments, I'm reminded of a saying that one of our favorite ISV clients has given us - you know this saying as this client was your client in your position as CSM - "whenever you point your finger, be self-aware to understand that there are three fingers pointing back". At any rate, as I've said in other comments here on Glassdoor, constructive feedback provides opportunities for self-reflection and we will look at if/where we can improve on ensuring expectations are not only set but clearly managed to. I believe we do a great job, but no one and no company is perfect, so this presents an opportunity for a continuous improvement check-in. I wish you the best and have no doubt you will find success in whatever new environment in which you find yourself.

Pros

-My coworkers were wonderful, I thoroughly enjoyed the picnics and barbecues involved while working there. -I learned a tremendous amount and was able to grow exponentially. Atmosera is a great place to step into the tech industry and get your footing and hands on experience in a quickly growing cloud hybrid environment. Because of Atmosera I now have more of an idea about where I would like to focus my talents in this industry.

Cons

-The cons far outweigh the positives of working at Atmosera, I worked there for a year and ~6 months, and I would not go back again unless there is a change with management, as well as organizational changes with client management and operational management - stop siloing!! -A specific person was given the task to lead in an area where they lack the skills necessary to be a true leader. This has impacted the company tremendously. This person manipulates situations when employees make mistakes by using fear based tactics to get the results he desires, thus creating a far worse outcome - a toxic environment and high turnover. It may get the results desired in the short term, but is not a healthy place to stay if you end up making any kind of mistake. Keep your nose clean, show good work ethic, and you won't even notice the toxic environment if working in operations. Most current employees are aware but some continue to be surprised to hear the experiences of those in the line of fire. The CEO is making steps to improve this...after the last batch of us left he seems to be more aware now then ever. I believe with time things may change, and I truly do hope Atmosera continues to grow at the pace they have with the people they have. There are some extremely talented folks who work there. I value every connection I made and look forward to hearing the good things that are accomplished by all in the future.

Thanks for the response here and apologies for not responding earlier... though probably a good thing as it has allowed for activities to take place. We have now consolidated three organizations under one group - client operations - and hired a new VP from out of Oregon to lead this focused organization (no silos). We've had a lot of success in 2019 and we'll continue to augment/elevate the positive things we're doing and leverage data points and action to improve the things that challenge us.
