      Might as well be a Trump company

      Pros

      2 stars awarded for Great salary, great benefits, good people (at least there used to be).

      Cons

      Russ Thomas is a terrible leader. One of the things that drew me to this company was the predominantly female leadership team. Many have now been forced out and Russ has his good ol' boy system in place. He is a careless leader who thinks highly of himself with nothing to back that ego up. Surrounds himself with yes men. He is on the same level as Trump.

      Yet another year of lay offs

      Good benefits. Once was a great company for a career The company has good PTO benefits The hours are great

      Cons

      The new leadership team consistently does a huge lay off each year, job insecurities, no career. People wonder when their team will be let go or who is next.

      We take business decisions that affect our employees very seriously; regularly examining the alignment of roles, processes and company priorities to meet market opportunities. We are on a path of continuous improvement and sometimes that changes the nature of our work. When appropriate this has meant moving employees into different roles or divisions. Sometimes, that’s sadly not possible and we have to say goodbye to our colleagues. When we do, it is with respect and appreciation for the contributions they made during their time at Availity.
