      Pros

      -Work life balance. -Unlimited PTO. -A great team. -Supervisor is focused on your well being. -Remote so you do not need to drive to the office.

      Cons

      -Compensation is pretty low compared to the market average. Especially since there is no OT in QA. -Unlimited PTO, is not exactly unlimited. If you go over a specific hour usage of time off, you can/will get questioned. Even if you complete your work early. -The benefit plans could be better. Dental and Medical.

Our uncapped Availatime policy encourages associates to take time off to relax and recharge as needed, which is why we don’t require associates to accrue paid time off before they can take time off. With that said, we are a busy organization working to impact healthcare positively, so we still have to get our work done. It is balance. Finding and keeping the right talent is critical to us at Availity, so we put a lot of energy into getting our compensation and benefits right. Our total rewards package is the culmination of extensive research, continuous associate feedback, and industry/market best practices.       Thank you for taking the time to share your comments. Healthcare IT is a fast-paced, complex business that takes time to learn, and we know that. Having a healthy work-life balance is a priority at Availity that our associates genuinely value. We are committed to process improvement, and that includes our training processes. Availity’s introductory training provides associates with the fundamentals they need to get started in their roles. Still, the learning does not stop there—some of the best learning opportunities at Availity come from on-the-job experience over time. Each year, we dedicate resources for associate training and professional development at all levels of the organization. With our new learning platform this year, we hope to bring a new level of organization to those efforts. However, we will pass this advice on to our training department leaders for consideration.

      Encourages Work/Life Balance

      Pros

      Availity encourages work/life balance. This includes encouraging employees to take breaks throughout the work day to take walks, go to doctor's appointments, or simply walk away from the computer for a few minutes. Availity is a wonderful company that stresses the importance of their employees and they practice what they preach. Management is honest and transparent about the company movement and they encourage employees to ask questions and reach out to management if they have concerns. Finally, Availity encourages employee growth within the company.

      Cons

      Like any company that primarily has employees working remotely in different time zones, it can be difficult to communicate with others across the company. It is not anything that becomes a barrier for getting work done. You just need to approach things proactively.
