      Company has gone downhill

      Pros

      Several years ago, there were many, many pros to this company. At one time it felt like a family and a small business. All that changed with the change in leadership in 2019 and it's gone downhill since. If I have to pick one pro, I guess it is the early release Fridays that are now year-round.

      Cons

      When I first started with this company it felt like each employee was important and mattered. Now it is like you are just a number and easily replaceable. In 2023 the health insurance changed to an awful company that made it harder to find a reputable doctor. Some people can get away with certain behaviors that other people cannot. It all depends on who you know and who you are friends with. The site team workers are often treated horribly by the residents including being yelled at and berated, yet upper management and corporate office doesn't seem to care. As long as the property is meeting NOI and making them money, that's what matters.

      Think About It...... Don’t Be Fooled

      There is absolutely nothing

      Cons

      Needs better communication/ Needs team work and they just use you left and right. Especially after this Covid-19. The CEO advises that Beacon employees are secure with there jobs and at the end they let go of so many people and make up reasons why to let them go. So disappointing and disgusting, never thought this company was like this. Be careful to anyone don’t fall for it. Trust.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Beacon implemented changes in policy and working environments aimed at protecting and supporting both residents and team members. As a part of doing right by our employees, Beacon’s leadership team made a commitment to maintain current personnel when stay at home mandates were implemented at the state level. During this period, performance-related matters were handled in the traditional manner and are not a reflection of Beacon’s commitment to current personnel. Communication is critical, especially during this pandemic and times of uncertainty. We have and will continue to host company-wide bi-weekly calls and distribute updated FAQs and CEO updates to be clear and transparent. We genuinely value team member feedback and promote open communication at all levels of the organization.       Wonderful Place to Work and a Company That Values Its Employees

      Pros

      In a time where plenty of companies only talk the talk, Beacon truly stands out as one that walks the walk. From offering ongoing training opportunities to fostering a company culture in which everyone's opinions are heard, Beacon has provided me a place I'm happy to work each day.

      Cons

      While employees do receive health benefits, it may be helpful to offer a wider array of options. Management may also want to offer guidance on particular career tracks; while it's obvious there is plenty of room for growth, having a few tangible options rather than "you can go anywhere with Beacon" may prove helpful to employees in the long run!
