Decent pay Work from home Friendly co-workers

Cons

Micro-managed from the very top. $5K proposals have to be signed off on by the CEO. Goals, targets, company structure, and the “right way” of doing things change with the wind. No work life balance - 3 weeks vacation, minimum 50 hours per week, project meetings between 9-11 pm are not uncommon. Training is pretty much non-existent.

Pros

Work hard and you get regular raises and promotions. You wear many hats here, so it's a great job to learn many skills related to customer relationship management and compiling strategic presentation materials. Ability to learn how to cope with stressful situations.

Cons

Extremely stressful environment. Upper Management is notorious for cursing at employees and provide unrealistic expectations for employees. If something is done poorly, they prefer to yell and tell you how bad you are doing versus guiding you how to do better. There is little to no work/life balance. Cincinnati, OH employees are more likely to be promoted over global team members. High turnover rate for CRM positions due to the overwhelming amount of work and high expectations they're given. Only few are groomed for leadership positions. Favoritism is blatant.

Pros

Genuine peers that care about their teammates and will assist with whatever is needed to get a job done. If you're joining Gensuite right out of college, there are plenty of opportunities to advance your career, and quickly. Management genuinely cares about their people and want to see them successful, even if they don't have the time to pour back into their teams.

Cons

Micromanagement from executive leadership that seeps into the daily culture prohibits the growth of employees. When a majority of projects are being controlled by the CEO, the vision and mission is lost. There is a lot of overlap in responsibilities and multiple roles will be completing the same job at the same time with no distinct responsibility delegation. There are many inefficient processes that aren't given the time of day because management is preoccupied with having to micromanage staff due to the CEOs unrealistic involvement in daily operations. In my experience with companies this young, I've never had a CEO be involved in having to approve powerpoints and project notes that are being sent to the customer prior to delivery. Especially editing the formatting of notes.
