Pros

Great way to get your foot in the tech field, they have lowered their standards so pretty much anyone can get hired. Provides environment to troubleshoot and become more familiar with Linux. Pay is all right, but not great and once you start to move up the increases aren't very much. PTO/Benefits are all right, better than nothing I suppose.

Cons

For level 1s, you have to be a good salesmen and recommend products for nearly every call/chat. Call center job, so you deal with annoying customers sometimes. No incentive to move up, ie L2, L3. When you make more in commission then you would by getting promoted, no reason to move up. All EIG cares about is reaching their goal, Build to a Billion, and will do whatever it takes to achieve it. Culture there is crap now and has super high turnover rate.

They never promote quality

Pros

They have awesome insurance benefits, providing you sign up for a health exam first., they also have video games, pool, and air hockey in our building.

Cons

They never promote based on seniority or skill. They promote mostly women, and ignore those who have been there for ages and have the qualities of a manager. I have been here quite some time, and every time I apply for coach, I am denied. I am more than qualified, and have put in the time. I have asked to be promoted to senior mentor, and Coach, and have been rejected. They aren't interested in quality talent any longer. Customers no longer matter, they are nothing but dollar signs. The CEO has a build to a billion program this year, and it's all about the revenue, rather than the customer experience. They are actually using the Challenger model where they can wring the most money out of a customer as they can. Our hosting is also terribly infected with Malware. I can't believe how many Site Doctors and Sitelock we are selling, it's almost as if they admins are deliberately infecting the servers to pump up revenue. Bluehost is also outsourcing all of it's projects. Recently, they forced chatters onto the phones, and shipped jobs overseas to India, even though the India quality is much lower than stateside support. Starting on 10/12/2015, all chat support will be Indian, and they've kicked Americans to the curb. So much for keeping it local. We also had a huge security leak wherein many customer accounts were compromised, and internal data was posted online. Yes, I'm looking for a new job.

Pros

Decent pay, some decent perks too, flexible hours are nice

Cons

Pushing sales 40% of the time for chats and 50% for phones is insane, if you want to build to a billion, you should try to make your current customers happy and let it grow that way, instead of shoving products down their throats. Cloud sites failed so hard, one of the servers did not even have cpanel installed on it before we started migrating people there. Lied about never moving SWA over to india for chats, I saw 2 indian agents taking chats yesterday for SWA. Once you make it to Web Advisor you hit a wall to make it to SWA or L2 hard to progress past that.
