Bonterra was formed via PE acquisition, so none of the following should shock anyone... - 3 executive teams in 3 years, latest CEO has installed his entire team from Aurea Software (go read those reviews if you want an idea of how they operate). - 3 huge layoffs and ongoing "rolling" cuts, has created a culture of fear and uncertainty. - New upper management does not understand the philanthropic space and does not care to. - Took established brands and blew them up with barely any plan in place, market recognition has tanked. - Currently very little room for growth, as higher level positions are filled by the CEO/CRO with people from outside the industry. - Below market $$ and benefits getting scaled down. - Inept payroll and people operations; paychecks were constantly wrong and the severance/unemployment transition process has been an absolute nightmare for the hundreds of employees they've laid off. There's more that other reviews have covered, pay attention to them!

Lack of training, constantly being told to do things one way then told to do the opposite. Forcing employees to fill vacancies of higher positions without title change or pay raise. Unlimited PTO is not truly unlimited because you get pushback when trying to take one week off a year. Difficult to make connections with fellow employees. The people that have been there longer are very cliquish and it can feel isolating. Did a massive layoff by email just to turn around and repost those laid off positions for rehire at a higher pay. Felt personal. They definitely do not practice what they preach. I attempted to speak with HR in regard to my concerns with management and got passed around before I ended up ghosted by HR staff. Very unprofessional. They set you up for failure. People resign constantly.
