Pros

The clothes, the people and the original premise.

Cons

Discriminatory toward artistic/creative employees which is strange as they cater heavily to that customer demographic. Very cliquey/political upper management - Ops Managers were very out of touch which was evident through the selection & training of Area Managers. This lead to disengaged store managers which in turn lead to disengaged staff. Little work/life balance is actually encouraged, lip service is paid to this concept, but their actions/expectations are contradictory.

Waste of Valuable Time

Pros

The president and owner of the company, the discount in clothing, my co-workers, and the music! Overall I believe this company once had a great backbone about 20 years ago, but with the fast paced world around us and the company trying to grow without letting the core people who make it, help; the voice has been lost.

Cons

You cannot voice your opinion, thoughts or ideas about progression and growth of your job and the company as a whole. Even if you really want to help the company and have great ideas, you will never be heard. If you try, you are shut down and told "that will never happen". Although they make it seem like they value you, they definitely don't. The managers and higher ups have complete control of what they want and nothing else matters. Your constantly being watched and talked about behind your back, waiting to be "let go" while they compile meaningless paperwork to give them a reason to do so. They never tell you exactly what you can do to improve or when you say or do the wrong thing, instead they write it in a secret book and wait to tell you 6 months later when they've built up a case against you to fire you.
