Company Doesn’t Care

Pros

None really, I’m miserable here

Cons

-Haven’t had a raise since I started in 2020 -Took away bonuses unless you want to work yourself in to the ground -Company could care less about safety of techs, expecting them to work 12+ hours a day, driving all over the state, getting up in the middle of the night to drive 2+ hours to a job site, and then expecting them to work another 12+ hours -Micro manage -Constantly promote people to management with zero experience -Constantly show up to jobs and am told I can’t complete it because of parts not showing up

Thank you for your feedback; however, all eligible service technician team members received merit increases and/or discretionary bonuses in 2021 and 2022. We encourage you to speak directly with your manager or a member of our HR team regarding any work-life balance, professional development, and training concerns you might have so those matters can be addressed collaboratively and promptly.

Pros

I’d say the company car but most tech positions include that so it’s not really a pro.

Cons

The unrealistic expectation of service level agreements where business post Covid changed their working and access availability but we are expected to uphold a 24/7 service agreement without reviewing contracts. I have worked over 20hours between 2 days on more than one occasion and have been excepted to operate a commercial vehicle on less than 2 hours of sleep. Managers do not defend their teams and make excuses for contracts over consideration for human life. Techs should be unionized because they have no representation and do every bit of the field work. Scouting, install, reactive service, programming, all of it. 100/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND UNLESS YOUR LOCATION IS UNIONIZED

Thank you for your feedback. At Burroughs, we have an open-door policy and we encourage all our employees to bring forth concerns that they may be experiencing either directly with their manager or our HR team. Having an open communication channel is an important element of a great work environment and it is important to our collective success at Burroughs. Our goal is to have the right people and resources in place to provide our customers with exceptional service delivery day in and day out while providing an environment that promotes work-life balance for all employees. In furtherance of our efforts, we’d like to take this opportunity to specifically encourage you to reach out to any of our senior Leadership team to discuss your concerns directly.

Pros

If you enjoy fixing things, there is a pretty wide variety of equipment that Burroughs contracts for.

Cons

Long hours, explicitly stated 24/7 service is rendered to some clients, thus the job often interferes with personal life; very little expression of appreciation for jobs well done or sacrifices made; no cost of living adjustments/raises; bonuses only performance based with stringent conditions; thus, little motivation or incentive to improve. Very little job satisfaction.
