Pros

CHR is a good company. Being a female in a male dominated office was usually fun, although sometimes the guys get out of control. It is a super casual environment but you've got to be driven. You can't just sit around, there is too much to do. You learn a lot about how to communicate with various types of people (ie truckers, never a dull moment). The internal CHR network, although competitive, is normally amicable.

Cons

Heavy competition with Chicago Central since they operate differently. Sometimes uncomfortable with tons of guys, but if you're chill you will be fine. Zero career advancement. And like any other company nowadays, not a lot of bonuses or perks.

Great Pay but Terrible Work/Life Balance

Pros

The pay is great. They offer benefits, 401K, stock purchase plan and profit sharing. You can make a lot of money in a very short amount of time.

Cons

They work you to the bone, expect you to travel non stop and it's an extremely stressful environment. They want you to bleed blue (Robinson's colors)

Pros

-Potential to make good commission -Don't have to bring work home -young group of people -somewhat relaxed management -does a good amount of charitable work

Cons

-there is literally no way to advance your professional career -after working there for a couple years, employees become bored and disinterested -the work is not challenging enough -don't need a college degree to perform daily tasks, but they do require one -won't provide for any business travel -doesn't provide company computer or cell phone -allows certain employees to work from home, but not others -implements policies aimed at improving the bottom line and hurting the employees and their commission bonuses -very few corporate outings -discourages taking lunches, despite working 7am to 5pm -company is headed in very poor direction -extremely high turnover -poor training -inability to expand beyond basic truckload movements
