Pros

If you have no degrees and don't mind making phone calls all day long with good benefits, then Robinson is an excellent company. A few years ago, the stock ownership was a good reason to be there. Unfortunately Not anymore.

Cons

If you want to work as a slave, this is the place to be. There is no personal growth. You can spend years here and still do the same thing that you did your first day.I don't know about you, but I didn't go to college so that I could do the same thing every day. Since every branch has its own P&L, the branch manager is very important. Mine sucked and the boys club ruled the branch. Unless you are part of that club, forget about good raises and a good status in the branch.

Pros

CH Robinson offers great potential to earn good money and is generally very good with rewarding hard work both monetarily and with recognition. The office space is very different from many others out there, and CH Robinson does a great job promoting social activities, networking and competition. In my experience, they have gone out of their way to make sure I was satisfied with my work, as well as make sure I am doing a good job for them.

Cons

You will have to work hard, and as with any commission based job, you can get unlucky which puts you in a tough spot. To be fair, CH Robinson is also very helpful in that respect.

Pros

Great place for entry level employee to come in and get hands on experience, great benefits package, many locations. The office life is geared towards creating a team that works towards a common goal which is cool. For the most part a majority of the employees are fairly young which makes communicating easier.

Cons

Training varies from office to office and it is sink or swim for the most part, you take work home a lot, and sales and operations can be tough to balance. You are asked to negotiate with carriers, who for the part depend on you to treat them fairly, but sometimes a tough decision has to be made.
