Pros

Nice properties Interactions with great tenants Sunday off Decent commission

Cons

This is by far the most toxic company I’ve worked for. It is very “cliquey” with upper management and CD’s. Since they’re all friends, expect nothing to happen should you voice your concern about ANY issue in the workplace. THEY DON’T CARE! I have never seen so many people leave a company in such a short amount of time… but I understand why. This is a small company so gossip thrives and spreads like wildfire. Everything/Anything you share in private with your manager WILL be shared with the entire office. Triangulation/Isolation is common in the office. If you a favorite of your CD, you will be let in on vital information with the office/company, if not, you won’t be included in these discussions and will find out later. Experiencing the silent treatment for months and bullying by managers is ok and accepted in this company. Training is non-existent. You need to complete “training” videos every so often but no real training. Some managers are being promoted who clearly don’t have leadership qualities - then the rest suffer. I just cannot recommend this company at all.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY

Pros

some of my co-workers only is why I've stayed

Cons

Leadership at the highest level claim to be transparent but they are not. Me and some of my current and past co-workers have brought concerns to leadership and they don't investigate or look into our concerns. When concerns are brought to their attention leadership does nothing. The company so called core values, policies and procedures only apply to the pee-ons and not leadership. Every state of the company calls we have had, leadership never provides straight answers or no answer at all. What's the point in employees asking questions when they never honestly answer. There has been a high turnover across the company and they just don't care. Managers and employees I’ve known have left because of the lack of support from our leadership and because of low pay when other multi-family companies are paying much higher (15k-20k more). So sad. There is no culture or true diversity which the company claims to have but if you go to the company website right off the bat you see white people and no people of color. There is also zero color of people in leadership so how can you claim to be a diverse company when your website shows otherwise. We are overworked, underpaid and not recognized. The only time a regional director or SVP shows up at a property is when something goes wrong but let us do something great like have great occupancy or great reviews they are nowhere to be found. We get no recognition for the good we do and get called out when something happens. The company is NOT about the "people", they are all about the investors and how they can keep them happy, it’s all about the money. They say they “hear us” and that's BS because change doesn't happen. I’ve known many co-workers that have resigned and they are offered more money to stay which is sad and a joke. They money they offer to stay is still below market. I know someone who recently resigned but before resigning they asked for a raise and was denied because management felt they didn’t need it. But then they resigned and all of a sudden management offered them more money to stay but they left anyway because by then it was too late. They landed at a great multi-family company who recognized their talent and skills and offered 30k more than they were making in their current position. Why was management willing to give them a raise when they resigned but could not or would not when they asked. So sad. Ya'll have the money to increase salaries but don’t and yet are brining in new hires at a much higher pay. People also leave because of leadership and their lack of support and true transparency. There is also fear of retaliation which is why people just leave. They get tired and broken down and feel they have no choice but to leave the company they have been loyal to. Offer employees the pay they are due and not when they resign! Concerns reported to leadership fall on deaf ears and there is never any follow-up. DO NOT APPLY OR WORK FOR THIS COMPANY. The benefits they offer are also a joke.

Pros

My bi-weekly pay check & my team

Cons

Never provides straight answers or offers real solutions to ongoing problems/issues. Core values should be updated because many of upper management team does not follow our current ones. Extremely high turnover with no focus on retention. Tenured employees leave due to low salary and minimal support from upper management. Other property management companies are willing to take a chance with our employees when considering growth opportunities, when we won't. The company is reactive versus proactive. Very minimal diversity in leadership, take a look at our webpage. Also, when asked if Juneteenth could be an added holiday since it is now a Federal Holiday, leaderships answer was "No, we will not be adding an additional holiday. We can talk about replacing one that we already have with Juneteenth". One of our biggest competitors has 11 paid holidays versus our 10, due to honoring Juneteenth. Very minimal employee recognition outside of "milestone" anniversarys. Maternity/Paternity leave is ridiculous. Changed on-site bonus structure and now Community and Assistant Community Directors aren't capable of making as much money. When communities are short-staffed, upper management does not offer support, but expects Community Directors to still be able to perform with little to no support. Investors are the number one priority, not the people running the show (employees)
