Changing to For-Profit

Pros

Beautiful Facilities and pleasant co-workers

Cons

With most staff being moved to the "for-profit" branch of the corporate structure (from a "not-for-profit") the focus of the company is changing from mission driven to a money making machine like most health plans. It's all about the $$$$. Also very interesting that so many Directors and VP's do not live in Ohio. They fly in and fly out. How committed are new leaders to CareSource?

We’re so glad you left this review so we have a chance to help correct your perceptions. We are updating our legal entity status but only to return to the structure under which we started. CareSource continues to be non-profit, mission-driven health care with heart. As to managers who travel, we are working hard to hire the best talent so we can help build our local communities. Please reach out to your manager or HR business partner to have more in-depth conversations. We want all our employees to understand our impact on the local communities.

Pros

The staff in our office got along with each other wonderfully. Our teamlead hooked us up with free food.

Cons

Where do I start? The pay is ridiculously low! Other places will pay more for much less work, but not Caresource! The $12.03 an hour is an insult, considering the fact Caresource expects you to be on the phones and in chats at the same time. The quality assurance policies are unrealistic. You are expected to perform like a robot. Forget being yourself when speaking with members. Advocates are on the front line, yet, are never included in the all-staff meetings.
