Pros

Still a sense of employee focus and wellbeing (middle management layers enact this in their teams) Wellness Week In certain Business Units, there is a strong sense of teamwork and working towards a common good -- our learners.

Cons

Removed two wellness days when the feedback has been very clear that the employees need more time off when the whole company is off. Upper management fails to realize that the constant push for growth is straining the contributors and creating burnout, a sense of defeat.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I am glad to hear that you sense a strong sense of teamwork among a group of people who are working towards a common mission to serve learners. Ensuring we are supporting employee health and wellbeing continues to be a priority. We continue to offer a company-wide Wellness Week, as we recognize that additional time at the end of the year is extremely valuable in helping our employees’ recharge. We also offer a range of benefits and services to support employees both at work and in their personal lives. Thank you for your more than 6 years of service. I wish you the best in your next endeavors. CEO, Michael Hansen

Thank you for taking the time to share your perspective. I am sorry to hear that you found your work environment to be tumultuous, as trust and transparency are core tenants of our culture at Cengage Group. Regarding promotions and career advancement, this is an area that we have invested in significantly over the past several years to ensure there is clarity on the opportunities available and the skills needed for individuals to advance. We are always working to evolve these efforts to make sure we are enabling people leaders to have these conversations with their teams, and providing individuals with the resources they need to grow in their career. I wish you the best in your future endeavors. Michael Hansen, CEO
