Pros

The slight pro is being able to help someone who is in crisis, but the QA person will nitpick your call and tell you everything you did wrong.

Cons

Micromanaging of adults is ridiculous. We are not 5 year olds, but are treated as though we are. Policy changes daily through Excel, hard drives or through e-mail. If you don't use the most up to date policy, you risk being fired. Do NOT ask anyone questions as management wants a warm body to fill a seat and be robotic. They say "team," but there is no team. No one is on your side. There is extremely high turnover, and the company does not want to retain employees.

Pros

Truly does good for the community and there are a few quality people on staff. Seems great on paper.

Cons

There is a reason they are constantly hiring for the Crisis Team. The managers are clique-ish and mistreat employees regularly, especially younger employees. When you are first hired, depending on if your manager “likes” you or not within the first two weeks will determine the rest of your employment with Centerstone. If you try to raise your concerns with them, or with HR, they will not listen or even return your calls or emails. Truly the worst work experience I’ve ever had.

Pros

You get to create your own schedule. The coworkers in similar positions are cool. That's honestly it. It's terrible.

Cons

Management does not care about its employees at all. They will give you an oversized caseload and multiple positions but won't compensate you fairly. It is incredibly easy to get burnt out. The turn over is incredibly high. Everytime someone leaves, they just disperse the case load amongst the remaining case workers, which leads someone else to leave and the cycle repeats itself. They preach "self care" and say you can take a day off when you need one, but then will get angry with you when you dont meet your production quota. Production quotas are not changed to reflect PTO or clients that do no show. You will work your fingers to the bone for nothing. The trainings they give you are not helpful. You will have to learn everything on the fly. Working here is like being shoved into a pit of vipers and then scolded when you get bit or request assistance. They "give you" a decent amount of PTO, but thethey neglect to tell you that any bereavement, sick days, or medical leave is taken from that PTO. They don't offer any assistance otherwise.

Thank you for your feedback. After doing extensive evaluation of our compensation and benefit packages, we find that they are, if not above average, fair. But your concerns are valued. If you have anything further to share, please email feedback@centerstone.org. Thank you for helping to deliver care that changes people’s lives.
