Pros

They offer somewhat of a flexible schedule.

Cons

The majority of hiring staff, and managers are toxic, and need therapy themselves. Some staff / management are so dysfunctional in their communication, stonewalling, cold disposition, unable to communicate in a healthy manner due their own unresolved internal issues. It’s no wonder for them there is no true connection to the employees or to the clients. Everything is simply a numbers game for them. Additionally, the Pay is VERY LOW for what they expect. Too much red tape and once you onboard good luck - you will be miserable, mistreated and not appreciated for the skills you bring to the table. Prepare to be a robot. If you are a truly qualified, ethical and compassionate person who really wants to make a difference - This is NOT the place for you. Conversely, if you are dysfunctional, poor communicator who enjoys stonewalling people and being cold and condescending towards them - then this is the perfect place for you.

Deceptive and Insidious Leadership

Pros

I enjoy the networking piece of being able to connect with others in the community. My immediate team members were great.

Cons

On paper, the position seemed exciting and full of great opportunities. For outreach, they disclose KPIs as being 25 meetings/week, however they fail to disclose the other 5-6 KPIs that determine your performance as an employee (30 activities/day every day despite holidays, PTO or sick days, opps/admit, accounts activated, conversion rates, etc.). I found their interviewing process to be deceptive and high pressure, which are themes that carried on into the position as well. You are micromanaged and made to feel that your worth is more about how many admits you bring in, while being told it’s not a sales job. It is exactly that. You are expected to do whatever it takes to support community “Charlies”, aka get admissions, at any expense to your personal life. I found management to be under qualified and unsupportive to both my own and my team’s development in the role.

Unethical and immature leadership

Pros

Those of us in the lower and mid levels of the org chart genuinely want to help and see this company reach its mission

Cons

Toxic and abusive work practices. The c suite has repeatedly shown they will tell people inside and outside the company whatever they think they want to hear regardless of the truth. There are no checks and balances in place and people in positions that are supposed to fulfill that role just sweep things under the rug. No trust. Micromanagement. Shady business practices. Burnout. Bullying.
