Exactly targeted lies

Pros

Travel budgets seem to have opened up open for some execs

Cons

We got lied to from the very start. In his first all hands, new CTO said 'no layoffs' then this week guess what Massive Layoffs. The vc overlords are investing even less than Experian did...this was a slash and burn short sale. All they ever wanted was the client base which is not going to last them through Holliday.

Pros

The benefits are decent and IT is responsive in the current WFH situation when something is not working.

Cons

I wanted to post a review to support the last few that call out specific troublesome areas. The feedback is spot on. When I joined I was skeptical at the negative reviews but in hindsight, I should have known better. Turnover is very high and on top of that, roles have very little training. Compensation has remained the same (no increases etc.) for the past 3+ years. There is a bonus system in place for this year but very little chance that will actually happen. But beyond these annoyances, the culture is toxic. It's sad to see people leave, particularly women, because they know they will not have the opportunity to succeed or get promoted beyond Director Level. This year's user conference featured Tommy Lee, a domestic abuser who got in trouble for hitting his kids. How is that a good idea? When objections are brought up, they are passed along and nothing happens. Since I've been here there have been 4 layoff rounds and every time, the communication is worse and worse. Transparency would go a long way in explaining, not just hiding the truth. I have enjoyed working with clients but it's impossible to stay here.

So long and thanks for all the painful memories

Pros

- Liberal work-from-home policy, even before COVID-19 - Liberal vacation time - You can learn a lot about how technology from the 90's works

Cons

It wasn't uncommon to wake up early (before 7 AM) to take phone calls, produce work all day long, take more calls after hours, continue working while also trying to take care of my kids, and then get pulled aside and told that I wasn't doing enough. The people that are rewarded as "going above and beyond" are the people that have nothing else going on in their lives- these are people working 60+ hours a week. They still feel like they are not doing enough. This is because the company is failing. Clients big and small are ending their contracts in favor of more nimble companies that are not constantly trying to raise their pricing for no additional gain. Why is it failing? A complete lack of foresight. For example: When Cheetah bought a company to use as the next generation of their platform earlier in the decade, they failed for 5+ years to come up with a seamless way to migrate clients. The result being we force our clients to do the migrations with significant costs to them. When you tell that to a client, you're basically asking them to go look out in the marketplace for other vendors, since the pain is the same either way. The company has no real future. Current clients are going to keep leaving faster than new ones can be brought on board. There is 20 years of technical debt spread between 3-4 different platforms that all kind-of talk to each other. The Customer Success team all just left en masse. Everyone is surprised when we manage to get an existing, long-standing client to sign a new contract. The new clients are hard-won, and are sold on features that we know will be stretch-goals to deliver. If you are looking to continue your career here, please consider all of these negative reviews you see here. This company will chew you up and spit you out on it's downward spiral.
