Pros

In the 6+ years that I've been employed by Children's home health, I've been very pleased with my experience. It has been, by far, the best company that I've worked for in my 10 years as a Licensed nurse. While I give a lot of credit for my pleasant experience to the families, and the special children that I care for, I have found the administration of Children's to be very attentive to my needs as a caregiver out in the field. I've never been treated as if I didn't matter, or as if I was replaceable to this agency. I have and will continue to recommend Children's to friends of mine in need of employment, or in need of excellent and dependable care for their special children.

Cons

Change is difficult, and as things change on a government level it becomes increasingly difficult to keep up with the demands of the job and of the paperwork.

Pros

I have worked for Children's for over 4 years. Melissa and the rest of the office staff are professional, accommodating and supportive. Scheduling is flexible and pay is competitive. Overall, excellent place to work.

Cons

Paid time off is accrued at a rate that is entirely too low. Benefit package isn't great. Paper charting is an inconvenience (but not a deal breaker).

Pros

Office staff is personable and attempts to accommodate nursing staff as well as patients and families to the best of their ability.

Cons

This is not a reflection of CHH and is not confined to this company, but is universal from one agency to another.......although each nurse has autonomy, the need for teamwork in any given patient's home is huge. Our patients and families, as well as the nurses staffing a home, all benefit greatly when everyone is on board with the care given to the patient, the case in general, i.e. making sure supplies are in home timely and utilized wisely, and cooperating and with one another for the ultimate good of the patient. Communication is key between nursing staff for the best outcome for the patients and their families. It pays to be friendly. .....
