Pros

Sometimes can work from home, laid back office

Cons

Managers are incompetent, lazy bullies with zero Integrity. Managers get away with treating staff horribly, yelling, bullying, lying, etc. They also have their staff do their work and take credit for it all. Upper management and HR don't listen and allow the behavior to continue. Staff that do nothing get raises just like everyone else. Health benefits are expensive and high deductible. Pay is low. Six holidays per year, which are lumped with your vacation.

Pros

CHW strives to have a really positive culture of inclusiveness and positivity. Depending on your manager, they can offer a really flexible work environment.

Cons

The organization will proudly tell you they strive to be in exactly in the 50th percentile for compensation and benefits. Mediocre salary and benefits lead to having a mediocre staff. The running theme from HR is that employees are so lucky to work for CHW, rather than CHW being lucky to have great people. So, they will mercilessly hit you up to donate back to the hospital multiple times a year. It's really aggressive. Their desire to build consensus also prevents meaningful change.

Pros

Great colleagues, love working with kids, inspiring mission/vision. Lots of different departments you could be part of. Mostly caring people and patients are appreciative.

Cons

Lack of recognition. Pile higher/deeper mentality. Slow to react to continued turnover, lack of load balancing in departments. Pay is low compared to other local systems. Little advancement opportunity.
