Pros

Decent benefits, decent work activities, team work environment. Overall it's decent and you aren't treated terribly. I do believe the company wants to retain employees and tries to keep things fun and interesting while making sure they are pumping work out of you too.

Cons

All administrative staff are like the step child that's forgotten about and the sales reps really get all the perks. Management is not transparent at all and there's always a sense of unease. You have to put a smile on your face and act as if everything is fine and dandy or you'll get talked to about having a bad attitude and not fitting in with the "culture". The pay is ridiculous! There's no rhyme or reason to how they decide on the pay for all of the administrative staff and admins cannot get salaried. There's absolutely no room for growth so expect to work the same job the whole time you're there. Sales reps can grow somewhat if they want to go into management.

Pros

Somewhat flexible work day schedule Management attempts to build team atmosphere with get-togethers Respect for family demands and schedules

Cons

More like a tele-sales job than being a Physician Recruiter All about numbers...had to make 70 calls minimum a day or scolded and belittled Told to 'yes' clients to death, but only allowed to work with the ones easily placed Free for all atmosphere...whoever could enter a physician into the computer first got them as a client, even if another recruiter spoke to them first Required to have office calls forwarded to personal cell or home phone after hours (but they don't help pay the bill! Very limited ability to make money the first couple of years. Bonus structure is extremely low and unmotivational.

Pros

Travel and yes, this is the only Pro I could think about

Cons

paycheck mistakes, misleading or flat our liars for representatives, poor housing, poor pay, expensive yet poor benefits, inconsistency, poor management, poor communication and poor business practices I must say that I was placed in an awesome laboratory with great Technologists, but my experience with my employer was horrid. In 8 months they have changed the travelers handbook thrice, have made extensive promises they can not keep and place traveling professionals in substandard places to live. If you get a paycheck that is accurate consider yourself lucky and expect to get nickled and dimed to death. I have had two different "managers" covering my assignment both of which have no idea what a Medical Technologist does other than we work in a lab. No one at CompHealth has made a visit to this work site or ever performed a face to face with this client but seem to think they know everything about the area, living and social conditions and environment you are being placed. You would think such a successful business would have a QA department or atleast a provider support department instead of giving us a "manager" that has no clue. Traveling to a strange place with no support system other than your "manager" means placing a lot of trust in someone you dont know and this company doesnt understand that concept...they are our life line and at times never even return your phone call. If you are not a Doctor or working for a contact that is paying CompHealth top dollar beware of the support and service you receive or lack there of.
