Pros

Health benefits are great. Partially paid maternity and paternity leave, fertility care assistance, even assistance with gender reassignment. Unlimited Volunteer time off.

Cons

Unhealthy competition; everyone in the Grand Rapids office looks and acts unhappy, dissatisfied, and stressed out; long-tenured managers are unwilling to change with the times and the younger workforce; Core values only apply to management favorites, Don't let them fool you into thinking they are happy, progressive and fun during interviews - pay attention to the atmosphere in the office take note as to how many people are smiling or interacting with one another; Nothing matters to mgmt except your numbers and doing things "their way", not the company's way, the mgr's way; YOU WILL BE A SEAT WARMER - get your numbers and be sure you're in your seat for exactly 8 hours a day or more, they will have a talk with you if you're in your seat for 7 hrs and 59 mins. Flex time is not understood by management, they require it be pre-approved at least a week in advance - where's the flexibility in that? It is not a recruiting hub - it's a call center, if you're a recruiter just plan on doing the "bait and switch" with your candidates

Good until it wasn't

Pros

As a lower level manager it was good and for the most part they live thier "core values"

Cons

As a senior manager they throw the "core values" out of the window and you see the true CompHealth. Lots of great people work there. Senior Management will turn on you if you question their methods. They are not really willing to receive feedback and grow as a sales company.

Pros

The culture here is amazing. I enjoyed working with everyone on my team. They really practice what they preach when it comes to this.

Cons

Job can be super stressful and in slow times, there's not really anything managers can do to help.

Great place to work

Pros

Everyone is nice and there's a great culture. If you work hard you can make good money too.

Cons

Like anywhere, your direct managers have a huge impact on your day to day so if you don't get along with them it could be difficult.

Pros

Remote, CHG has a great company culture, great place to start if you want to be a recruiter.

Cons

Base is low compared to other companies. Lots of potential for a lot of commission, however they hire a ton of recruiters which makes it hard. It feels like the managers just want you to dial the phonebook vs building your book.

Pros

Covered Parking was nice to have in the winter and summer.

Cons

If you are a sr. Manager or above and have a different opinion than the executive staff plane to be fired. They expect you to micromanage and not allow your managers to grow if they “don’t like them.”

Pros

I made more money (annual salary+commissions) at CompHealth than I had previously made in my sales career.

Cons

Upper management is completely incompetent. Many of the middle managers don't know how to train reps to do their jobs and are extremely poor at team management. Culturally it's one of the worst places to work.

Toxic environment

Pros

The pros left this place 3 years ago.

Cons

Super toxic environment from the top down, they weaponize their core values to justify micromanaging. Far too many managers per team, I had 7 on mine, for 15 reps, so they’re all constantly trying to just their role with some new harebrained that only gets in the way of getting business done.
