It's a job

Pros

You have a job. Can work remotely.

Cons

Internal disorganization and communication cause multiple problems from individual employee levels to client contracts. The experience so far in just a few months has been so bad and involved so many departments, it's given the worst impression of a company I've had in my 10-year career. I can see how multiple departments lack cohesive processes and communications which have far-reaching consequences. There is a "send an email and be done with it" attitude. Taking ownership of issues by an individual or a team just isn't done. Passing the problem from team to team or person to person drags out getting answers or resolutions. Managers are mostly checked out and don't really engage with their teams. Doing the bare minimum 1-on-1s and yearly reviews is about it.

Pros

Nothing as far as I remember

Cons

No hirerachy is followed . Hire some random person and ask him to do delivery manager resposibilty instead of having Sr and well qualified person in the team . Indian managers are just spine less fellow who say just 'yes' to everything what onsite people day . On the top of it leaves policy and shift allowance are of a KPO.

Cons

Nobody cares what you're going through they need cases count especially in FOC(field operations center) HR won't take part and address your issues cause they're in manager's favor

Pros

the IT techs at CompuCom tend to be very good and being in a company made of IT people means we all tend to speak the same language making communication easier.

Cons

There is a large disconnect between corporate and service workers. you direct manager and trainers are fine but anyone else beyond that, your just paper.

Pros

The potential for changing paths if you do solid work and have managers willing to recommend you for positions at other clients. Available internal training on a variety of subjects, though most are geared toward support.

Cons

The internal culture, particularly the division between employees and managers. Despite the contractor status, you are awarded full time benefits of CompuCom and are a fully fledged CompuCom employee. However, there is a distinct dividing line between yourself and CompuCom employees that are not burdened by a contract on their head.

Pros

Will pay for any and all technical certifications with a large internal library of self study materials. Direct manager is and co-workers are great to work with

Cons

Senior management has issues with money. They do not pay based on experience, but what the market value deems is base pay for entry level grads in the area. Most associates have worked for the company for on average 7+ years with no cost of living increase or performance increase. Outside of the direct team, the other teams do not care about each other and demand that support groups focus on their tasks and theirs alone, all other groups be damned. For a company providing IT support services, they can't seem to support themselves.

Pros

Good benefits (above law required) including Major medical insurance Dental insurance Food vouchers Restaurant vouchers 30 days of Christmas bonus

Cons

Any position above manager requires to be on call 24/7 and the base compensation is not better than other companies. You can see nepotism being a common practice, which has areas under poor management due to this

Pros

CompuCom's Parent company is Good.

Cons

BPO or infrastructure management company trying their luck in software development project through parent company . Dont fall pray for the salaries they are offering. There are no other benefits except salary. Non Technical Managers are managing the technical people in Pune and with very less knowledge on technical part. Dual reporting makes your life difficult but if you have good relations with Onsite team you can ignore the Pune management as they are admin point of view managers. No timely communication from management team. Pune Management dont have the decision making power and they say YES to onsite team. No bench policy, so in case there is no project you will go in Redeployment. 90 days notice period. Pune Management is busy in promoting the new office. Less shift allowances & support work. No annual bonus or appreciation. Quarterly RnR. Town halls are just general talks and no business updates. Changing the decisions according to situation and onsite Management. High Attrition rate. No quality work. Job Insecurity.
