Great place to be

Pros

8.5 hour work day with an hour lunch included in that. Depending on the positions there's work from home days based on role and experience. Benefits are pretty standard. The "building" is a rented floor, but still pretty nice nonetheless. There's pretty great communication between departments as well

Cons

So far the cons tend to come from the client end. Anyone who's worked for various clients before probably can assume some of the dumb stuff that'd have to be dealt with/tolerated

Dear Current Employee, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We are always looking for feedback and we appreciate you providing yours. First, thank you for noticing the communication between departments. This is an area that we are constantly improving and we feel like we're making good progress. There is more that we're going to do so please keep eye out for future improvements. Second, regarding the benefits, please know we are always trying to be better than "standard." One of my personal initiatives is to make sure we improve them every year and I want you to know I'm committed to that goal. Relative to your comment about our clients, I believe this is another area that will continue to improve. We're implementing a ticketing system this quarter that will make easier to track and measure client requests and, of course, our new platform, Levreg, will make far easier and faster to deliver all of our services. Thanks for everything you do to make us great. I really appreciate your efforts. Chris Williams President

Pros

There are employees that really care and do a great job as well as help others to do a good job. The company seems to be trying to improve their technology infrastructure. Communication seems to have improved.

Cons

Though upper management seems to be trying to improve 'employee engagement' I'll believe it when I see it. Employee benefits are not competitive with other companies, even though upper management seems to think that it is. A few employee parties cannot take the place of competitive benefits (low cost insurance, ample vacation time, improved 401k match).

Dear Valued Employee, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I appreciate it. Thank you for recognizing the many, many team members who do a great job and help those around them succeed. I see the same thing day in and day out and I'm grateful for the team we have. You will love the new technology platform that will be released in a few months. It will improve almost every job in the company. Thank you for noticing and commenting on our improved communication. That is one of our 2016 corporate initiatives and we feel we've made some strides. We have more ideas that we'll implement and it will be an ongoing effort to make it is as good as it can possibly be. On that topic, management has been receiving positive feedback all year. This year we surveyed the team to help determine areas of improvement, we've added many recognition programs and we created a focus group made up of various team members where ideas are discussed that will lead to a better workplace. Culture improvements take time and effort. I want you to know I'm committed to do whatever is necessary to make CSI one of the best places to work. Also, please feel free to come see me to give me your candid feedback as well as share ideas. We simply want to continue to improve. Now let's talk benefits. We currently offer three insurance plans and all three are "Gold" plans according to the government’s healthcare site. Our plans vary in cost to the employee but two are below the national average and one is above. Also, the employee cost for the plans has remained the same for three years but two of the three did increase for 2016. We will always try to give you the best health care for the lowest cost. That's always been a priority and it always will. Regarding our 401k, our contribution is below the national average. Throughout our history it was always in line with the national average but we were forced to lower our contribution as a result of the recession. That said I want you to know we will be increasing our contribution over time. I expect to be back at the national average within a few short years and my goal is to exceed it. Regarding pay and vacation time, I want you to know these topics are near and dear to our heart. It is in the company's best interest to pay as well as we possibly can and offer the most vacation time that we possibly can. We don't want any team member to feel underpaid in general, or relative to their coworkers. If you feel that way please speak with your manager right away. If you don't get the resolution you're looking for I invite you to speak with me or any member of the management team. Lastly, regarding the new platform implementation, I assure you we have every department head working on the plan and the process. It's our top priority right after our team members. Happy holidays. Dear Former Anonymous Employee, Thank you for writing a review. I appreciate it. I'm sorry things didn't work out for you at CSI. Thanks for recognizing that you had excellent coworkers who are highly talented and dedicated. I couldn't agree more. Our team is our number one asset and their well-being is our number one priority. Sorry to hear you don't approve of senior management. However, to one of your points, in January of this year we hired a new CSO who has 20 years experience working for Fortune 500 companies. He's a great leader and we expect great results from him. Your comment about our long-term direction is off base. We have very clear short and long-term goals and we started sharing them with the team late last year. On that note, we've been very open about our development road map and we've demonstrated our new platform to the entire team. One of the primary results of the new platform will be to relieve work stress and improve work/life balance. Thanks again for your feedback. If you find yourself between jobs please take another look as us because I think you'll be amazed at our new technology. Sincerely, Chris Williams President
