Pros

The work from home program and time flexibility is excellent to balance life. The co-workers and immediate management is very genuine and supportive. The atmosphere has been positive until recent changes. (Please filter negativity or let me WFH when negativity is in the office - lol) For the most part it is a fun, fast-pace casual-dress environment. New ideas are encouraged and everyone's perspective (at least in our department) is valuable. The immediate management encourages growth and doesn’t hold you back.

Cons

We're ready for the new platform. Bring it on!

Dear Team Member, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I really appreciate it. Thank you so much for recognizing that the immediate managers are genuine and supportive. I believe our middle management team is fantastic and a huge reason why we're successful. I can't say enough about them and thankfully, many employees comment on how good they are. I also believe we're successful because of people like you. After almost 21 years at CSI I've gotten to see over the years how our team members make all the difference. We've been so fortunate to have people that love what they do and their passion shows in their work. I'm so thankful for that I know our clients are too. I will take you up on your advice to walk around the office more and I want you to know keeping the entire team informed and up-to-date on our initiatives is a top priority and I will make sure it happens. Thanks for everything you do to make us a success. I really appreciate it. Chris Williams President

Pros

They consistently find great people to work with. You will gain tons of experience for those just starting a career. They are trying harder to take care of their people better. There are opportunities to move up within the company if you show your value.

Cons

Employees are extremely overworked. They can't compete with the market for pay. The experience you get will not consist of cutting edge technologies. Can very easily get pigeonholed if you don't hit the ground running.

Dear Former Employee, Thank you for providing your feedback. We agree -- our people are our greatest asset. We couldn’t do all the amazing things we do without them. We’ve been working hard to make CompuSystems a great company to work for, so your positive feedback lets us know we are headed in the right direction. You are correct -- CompuSystems has lots of opportunity for advancement for those who have a passion for what we do, continually expand their knowledge and skills and have the desire to move up. Over 95% of our supervisors, managers and directors were promoted from within. We understand that the work demands in this department can be significant at times. This, as you’ve heard often from our president, will improve dramatically when we introduce our new user tools later this year. We review our salaries at the department level on a regular basis to ensure we are competitive in the market place. The average tenure in this department is close to 7 years, which is a testament to our ability to successfully attract and retain employees. Kahle Williams COO

Great people, terrible work-life balance, toxic culture

Pros

Great people, opportunities to advance

Cons

Terrible work-life balance. It's nearly impossible to work just 40 hours per week. The workload far exceeds the capacity of the staff, and management creates a toxic culture of finger pointing and high expectations for the staff.

Dear Former Employee, Thank you for providing your feedback. We agree wholeheartedly -- we have an amazing team that is dedicated, hardworking and take amazing care of our clients. CompuSystems is very lucky. We understand that the work demands in this department can be significant at times. This, as you’ve been hearing from our president and the department director since the beginning of the year, will improve dramatically when we introduce new and more effective user tools later this year to support our clients. I am heavily involved in the day-to-day at CompuSystems and witness a much different environment than what you are describing. I see collaboration, cooperation, laughter and dedication. And when mistakes are made, I’m typically aware and involved along with the managers. Our approach is to understand why the mistake was made so we can take the necessary steps to prevent it from reoccurring. And our philosophy is that if one fails, all fail -- a team approach. We do have high expectations for our staff but I don’t think that is a negative. I’ve worked here for over 15 years and it’s in our DNA to continually improve processes and procedures due to the ever-changing nature of our business. And we have a focus group that meets regularly for this purpose. I’m sorry it didn’t work out for you but wish you well in your future endeavors. Sincerely, Kahle Williams COO
