Worst company I have ever worked for!!!!!

I was offered a job working in Palo Alto California

Here is a list of cons I had with this company! 1. I was promised 75% remote time after 6 months…. After 18 months of every week travel I ended up with 25% remote for 5 months. 2. Pay is subpar! 3. I was promised unlimited bench time and at the end of the gig CTG let the entire team go! They did not help us … NOTHING!!! 4. Laid off aprox 8 + people saying “no Cerner work was out there”, within a week had a job working on Cerner. 5. They promised everyone 2 weeks bench time from High up management and they didn’t even follow up with that! 6. They make you pay all your expenses and then wait 2 weeks to get reimbursed!!!! 7. I would not work for them again even if they doubled my salary!!!! 8. I received 5 out 5 pints on evaluations from client with 5 being the best! 9. Watch your back if you talk to them and get everything in writing and still be weary!!!!!

Was able to work remotely from home, which was nice....decent pay....my manager was wonderful.

Cons

People were laid off out of the blue a few times a year, so it had you always waiting for the axe to drop on you, so to speak. At that, if you were laid off, you were lucky to receive a severance of more than a few weeks, max. I was there 6 years, was laid off, with 2 weeks notice and received 2 weeks of severance pay, which is one paycheck. After 6 years, I would have expected at least the graciousness of a month's pay. Also, in the 6 years I was there, I never received a performance review.

Pros

The company offers benefits to perm and contractors alike that other similar firms don't. CTG treats its employees very well. The back office support is fantastic and the people are great.

Cons

Not a con but the company is making changes to improve its revenue.

Relaxed office. Friendly people. Overall great work environment. Approachable and down-to-earth management (right up to the executive team).

Lots of changes going on right now in the company's direction and leadership. People get nervous!

The people who work there are awesome.

Cons

Too much "politics" which takes away from consistency in processes. Management needs to appreciate the employees and equip them with the technology they need to to their jobs efficiently, as well as decent compensation.

Pros

A spirit of collaboration across the organization. Autonomy and trust that you will get your job done. Flexibility and remote work opportunities. Hard work is recognized in many ways and rewarded. A solid history of tenured employees - 20+ years is NOT uncommon. GREAT people. Tools and processes set up to support strong communication channels for a remote work force (IM, email, SharePoint, electronic time and expense reporting capabilities (with mobile receipt delivery - GREAT for travelers). Transparent communications - even when the news is not positive.

Cons

Benefits are expensive, but not out of line with the rest of the insurance market. Largely remote workforce can feel a little isolated and "on an island" at times.

I work with a lot of great people who really care about the work they do. Good teamwork. Decent benefits although cost is a tad high.

Bill rates clients are willing to pay sometimes dictate compensation.
