      I would not recommend Cubic. I am looking for a new job. This has been an awful experience.

      Pros

      Expenses are paid quickly. The issued IT gear is good. Every other Friday off is really nice.

      Cons

      Below average pay. Lackluster health benefits. Unrealistic goals. Goals are designed to create failure. Management seems to have different success variables than workers - How is it that the managers can cheer about achieving goals while none of the workers are making their goals and people are getting laid off? Statements about non-protected family types made by management put me in a position that I did not feel comfortable telling my manager about the birth of my child (birth happened during COVID work from home, he still doesn't know, and I don't plan on telling him). No space to grow within the company. So many strategy changes that they all just blend together, I stopped paying attention a long time ago to anything that comes from executive management.

      Management only cares about management

      Great place to work IF your management.

      Cons

      Management will low bid to get a contract then cut the workers so they still make a profit, No one in management takes any cuts, indeed, there continues to be new management positions created and management promotions. The company TALKS about Ethics, but it's just lip service as they do not treat their employees ethically.

      Horrible upper management

      Pros

      - Some remaining great engineers that you can work with. - Office looks decent with nice cafeteria.

      Cons

      - Upper management only care about profit and will work you to the bones if needed. - A lot of overtime and micro-managing from upper management. - Lay offs of talented people in multiple departments: CTS, SCOM, Ground, Air. - Merit increases mainly for corporate and not for the little guys in 2025. - Cut of 9/80 schedule in favor for 9-5 schedule since upper management believe that working more will yield higher productivity. - The company doesn't make any profit and will likely be sold in parts or shut down within the next year or so. This will lead to more layoffs.
