I worked at Gridsmart that was acquired by CUBIC.
- Poor management system of Gridsmart with junior management skills. I do not think managers were trained enough to be a leader of a team. Expecially, setting clear expectations and giving constructive feedback are very missing there. CUBIC should have trained the managers of Gridsmart much better.
- Very poor feedback system. They wait the last minute to tell you what they think about you. Even though I asked what the manager at gridsmart what he thinks about me several times, he did not answer good or bad. He waited to the last minute to splash his bad thoughts about me when I was leaving.
- gridsmart is a small company that was acquired by CUBIC. So you have to follow the rules of individuals such as employees are expected to clean their restroom by themselves. It was first time I heard that request from managers.
- The contributions that I made were not seen at all!!!. Even if you will earn customer satisfaction or you will improve something, if you fall behind in management's request you are a bad employee.
- Your contribution may not be seen as you expected. The expectation is too high and too confusing. I achieved a breakthrough and made the several customers happy and enable to get more business, I was accoused so badly because I fall behind in one other project. Even if you go above the expectation in one project, if you fall behind in the other, then you are bad!
- Job description and expectation may change any time.
- Limited or almost impossible to get promotion.
- They do not hire someone to clean restrooms, and management wants you to clean the restrooms by yourself. They want you to take the trash to the dumpster.
- Poor facility to eat your food. No good place to eat your food in a peace and in a clean environment. You may hear some voices from restroom when you are eating your lunch. Or you may smell something when you go to your office in a narrow way. Although I gave several feedbacks nobody listened.
- Your feedbacks are not listened. You are there to do just what is told. No need to use your brain to improve something there. Just follow managers's brain.
- If you enjoy working in an environment that you cuts your own thoughts, that may be a good fit.
