Pros

Focus on hiring and retaining excellent senior staff. Good balance between small company flexibility and large company stability.

Cons

Processes are somewhat chaotic, but that is improving. Contracts are up and down, sometimes resulting in anxiety about future work.

Pros

- Some--only some local management are good but significantly hampered by the contract as written and upper management. - Can't think of anything else. Up until 2013, I was very pro-Cubic, but they have turned completely around. - THIS BULLET HAS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH CUBIC AS A COMPANY--The best thing about working at this site (Quantico) is (most of) the employees who have stuck it out. They are great at what they do and because we always go above and beyond what is required to support the USMC, we always deliver a quality product.

Cons

- They will low-ball all contracts just to win, then cut workers and dual-hat others with no compensation. To support a USMC customer, they cant even source a qualified Fires Analyst (well they can until Cubic makes an offer). - Took full-time positions and created exempt, regular/part-time positions--about 85% of the billets. Workers required to put in 1632 hrs/yr and then "not required to show up unless you have a deliverable due" (Cubic's words). In practice, they expect you to still attend every meeting so the customer can have you standing by in case a question comes up. - When a good employee--one with unique skills decides to leave (we have lost a bunch and their replacements--the ones willing to work for the 30+% paycut everyone took, are no match), management finds a way to come up with a creative solution to get these people more money. The end result is that this further alienates the rest of the workforce. - I have never been in an organization with morale this low. Cubic recently completed an employee engagement survey--I would like to have participated in that one. Pre-2013, gut feeling is that the number would have been in the 90's. Today, I believe we are talking single digits. - Now that I have given up hope for this contract and am actively exploring other opportunities, I cannot wait to leave and salary increases wont fix this problem for me--Cubic has brought nothing but negativity to this contract.

Pros

Great place to work IF your management.

Cons

Management will low bid to get a contract then cut the workers so they still make a profit, No one in management takes any cuts, indeed, there continues to be new management positions created and management promotions. The company TALKS about Ethics, but it's just lip service as they do not treat their employees ethically.
