- Upper management hires "yes men" for a lot of middle and upper management positions, so don't expect a whole lot of caring about you or your ideas. - Instead of Taco Tuesdays, we have Layoff Wednesdays. Much more exciting to see if your number is picked... - Many good and honest people have been pushed out. Very sad! - Software development is outsourced to India, No... now it is Bolivia. No wait! Now it is back to India. Stay tuned to see where it is tomorrow. (here is hint: it won't be the US... )

If your company gets acquired by ECI, be ready to be shocked. You will be expected to do a whole lot more with a pay cut, vacation reduced, a bunch of stringent processes to follow, and high goals/expectations to achieve. It is clear that they do not care about employees, nor customers! They nickle-and-dime everything they can out of the customers. Rebrand your product, and through their heavy processes and red tape, end up butchering the relationships you had spent years building with co-workers and clients. It is very sad when I actually HAD a career and after ECI took over I was left with nothing but billable hours to deliver, and not even the trust to contact and schedule my time with clients, as a scheduler became in charge of my schedule and appointments. Don't forget, they are an investment company....all they care about is how profitable you are to them! That should tell you loads right there. Just run if you were used to be treated as a professional, because under their thumb, you're just a worker bee! (I actually was in my role for quite a few years before we got acquired by ECI. I stayed under ECI's umbrella for a year after the acquisition. )
