Pros

Aside from the peripheral perks — solid benefits, free barista bar, dog-friendly — the real benefits of working at LegitScript include the work itself and the pool of talented employees we get to collaborate with every day. This is one of few jobs in which I feel as if I'm actually making a meaningful difference in the world. The company offers a variety of different services depending on the type of client, but they all effectively help rid the internet of illegal and dangerous products — mostly drugs, but also things like illegal adult content, weapons, scams, and more. We get to see the results of our efforts when rogue online pharmacies selling dangerous and counterfeit drugs get taken down. It's rewarding work. LegitScript is very intentional about the people they hire, which is evident as soon as you start working here. Folks are smart, hard workers, and collaborative. We have employees from a couple dozen different countries, which gives the office an international feel. My experience is that the employees are generally thoughtful, introspective, and affable. You may not agree with the importance the company places on culture fit, but I personally appreciate the friendly, low-drama office environment that it has fostered. My impression of leadership does not jibe at all with those who have had negative interactions. I've experienced senior level managers to be generally thoughtful, open, and authentic — all of the traits they seek to find in their hires. I can't speak for every interaction with every member of leadership, but my sense is that comments of dissatisfaction are outliers.

Cons

If you're coming on as an analyst, there is a sharp learning curve that has most people's head spinning the first few weeks. Not everyone makes it out of training, and I think that's a good thing. The work isn't for everyone, and this "boot camp" period is a good way to experience the work and see if it's a fit or not. Depending on what team you're on as an analyst, the work can be grueling at times, especially when there are regular quotas and deadlines to meet. But there's a good work-life balance: hours are somewhat flexible, most folks are out by 5 p.m., and in summers the leadership has been inviting staff to leave work at 2 p.m. on Fridays if they get their work done. The company has been growing quickly recently, and that requires a degree of flexibility and adaptability as jobs and operating procedures can change.

Pros

They have such a supportive team and their work culture is outstanding. All the employees are intelligent and caring, so the atmosphere is great. Their benefit is also decent, so I'm content with the work and life balance as well.

Cons

Depending on the department you work for, the career growth could be limited.

Pros

Remote work, good training resources, professional and hardworking colleagues.

Cons

Salaries way below market. They've been promising to improve on that front for years, but the employee surveys are simply not listened to. There's a lot of possibilities for growth - growth of responsibilities, stress and workload, not of incentives or compensation. Morale is at an all time low due to micromanagement.
