Pros

Great Benefits, and Pay is not too bad. Location is easy to get to on the bus or train. Some of the people are easy to work with.

Cons

They want perfectionists. You have to be perfect . No matter how good you work one mistake can cost you your raise and bonus. Believe me you can find better than this place.

Pros

PTO, 401(k), well being benefits, career development opportunities, community involvement, leadership development, challenging work, recognition, strong bonus history, incentive pay

Cons

Disconnecting from work after hours can be tough, but you control it! Employees who are just looking for a job and can't connect to the value and service we provide our patients and members may not be as engaged.

Thank you for your dedication to our company and mission! We are happy to provide you with the benefits, compensation, recognition and opportunities you value. While our industry often necessitates our culture being fast-paced to best serve our patients, we offer our employees many extracurricular opportunities, flexible scheduling and the paid time off you mentioned to help them disconnect when they need a break. We are also proud of the employee training and education efforts you mentioned, offering learning opportunities through a variety of free online classes, talent-sourcing programs for future leaders, and ongoing training for leaders and managers throughout the organization. Managers are also encouraged to promote employee development and work with employees to help them maximize their potential on an ongoing basis.

Pros

The company provided a nice facility for you to work...

Cons

ESI was a very hard company to move up in. They set unrealistic expectations for you to fulfill as far as your raise was concerned. Your raise was also dependent upon others in your area, who may not have been doing the same or as much as you. I had a masters degree working in one of their call centers. I took the job to get in the company. It was very hard to not get clustered in with the others. If you weren't liked or well known...you can forget it. Also, if you move up while you're in the company, they will ONLY give you UP TO an 11% raise based on the current salary you have. IF they hired someone from outside without the internal experience and time with the company, you can guarantee they are making more money than you are.

Thank you for your comments. We are sorry to hear of your negative experience working for the company. However, because of feedback like yours, we’ve made it easier for employees at all levels to find new positions and move up within the company. We recently launched a centralized internal career site, providing resources and guidance around the internal hiring process, helping employees explore new opportunities and reach their ultimate career goals at Express Scripts. This included adding physical “career centers” in many of our call centers and distribution facilities, where the recruiting team offers assistance with the internal job search and application process, all based on feedback from our employees.
