Stress pit

Pros

Good paid time off, decent benefits.

Cons

Never have I worked a job that was so threat based. From the moment I started I felt as if the goal was to be rid of me. There is such a constant undertone of being shut down, one almost wishes they would just get it over with. Fifty percent of management is incompetent and the quality assurance people use subjective retaliatory marking. Training is laughable and people with little to no education are being taught to push generic drugs in any situation. $$$ are the bottom line not patients.

Pros

Great Benefits, Health Insurance, Tuition Reimbursement, 401K with Employer Matching Contributions, Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Wonderful people to work with. Strong company to work for. Pay could be worse.

Cons

Large number of lay offs due to merger. Pay could be better. Lack of communication between departments. Uncertain of future business plans. Value of employees takes a back seat to making the numbers. Limited opportunities to advance. Company more likely to hire from outside than to promote from within.

This place sucks

Pros

It's at least a job. The market is very flooded with pharmacists, so there' aren't man openings.

Cons

- Low pay - No plans - No communication to employees - Cutting costs is ONLY goal - Customer service AND employee relations takes a back seat to costs savings As a former Medco employee ... LOST over a week of paid vacation, lost quarterly bonuses, every meeting is bad news. There's no incentive to WANT to work for this company. I wonder if any legacy Express Scripts employees were left go after the merger. Recently lost ex-Medco employees and gained the EXACT number of legacy Express Scripts employees that had to be trained in what the people that were let go knew.
