Express Scripts reviews about "supervise"

Micro managed and supervisors were inappropriate.

This company has no empathy and has demonstrated absolutely zero consideration for its employees, many of whom have been with the company for 10 or even 20+ years. My pharmacy was closed this month after years of high performance and being a leader in problem solving and handling unique queues. Absolutely no warning was given. Everyone was simply pulled into a massive meeting and informed that the pharmacy would be closing in two weeks. Although my last day has come and gone, I still have no idea if I will be getting a severance package of any kind (although, knowing what I do of Express Scripts, I doubt it). Beyond my issues with how this closing was handled, Express Scripts has very high expectations, the rates required to leave early are extreme and quality standards are very strict. I was allowed 1 error per approximately 300 prescriptions - anything above that warrants being put on a "step" program which is essentially probation. There is little to no upward mobility unless you want to be a supervisor. Although steps have been taken to provide more positive reinforcement, at the end of the day negative reinforcement is what I felt in this job.

Pay sucks! The lil $0.30 raise each year sucks. You won’t even make $500 a week after taxes and insurance comes out. They hype up the fact of giving out bonuses every month, but that’s based upon how the members grade you on the survey at the end of each call. Even if you served/helped the member doesn’t mean they’ll score you high. So bonuses aren’t gauranteed. However, when you do get a bonus on the last check of the month you’ll notice it was basically ate up from taxes. I honestly only work here for the health insurance benefits because it’s the only benefit I see benefiting me. You’ll also meet with your supervisor every week or so to go over and grade a call. The meetings makes you feel like a student meeting with a teacher to search for any little thing you did wrong or anything you can do better. They are currently added new systems and all and they expect you to do more work with no type of pay increase. I notice it’s mostly minority women that work for this company or at least at the bottom of the totem pole. There is no room for growth. The RTL’s which are what I call the fake supervisors are who we send the members to if they ask for a sup. Some of them take it too serious and actually think they are sups when I’m fact their pay says otherwise. From my calculations if they start you with $12.00hr it would take 10+years just to get to $15hr.

Supervisors do not keep things confidential: they talk about you to your coworkers, but the Supervisors get promoted constantly. Management plays mind games telling you to apply for higher position and builds you up so high emotionally only to turn you down for promotion. Management will destroy you mentally and they don’t care. Extremely stressful, causes physical symptons ftom stress. If you don’t literally kiss up you will get absolutely nowhere in this company, trust me.

They violate many federal employment laws and refuse to comply with violations and judgements found against them this is all public and can be looked up and verified. The pay is very low and not much chance for advancement . The morale of the employees is very low since express scripts took over from medco they spent tons of money on a new gym and updating the office instead of increasing pay so there is a high turnover rate because of low pay. Patients are often very upset because of how difficult it is to get medications out to them due to company issues. Very stressful and not worth the lack of pay to deal with the supervisors determine who gets the highest raises they are only allowed so many at a certain percentage so lots of brown nosing they may only be able to give 3 people the top raise on each team. Dont waiste your time with this company they only care about themselves

They train you on the bare minimum of the job. The supervisors and "leads" know very little about the departments they oversee. They are more concerned with you reaching productivity goals than teaching you how to do your job well.

As I said, great position for younger folk just starting out, weather or not your supervisors believe that. The real problem with the company falls on the supervisors. It's not ENTIRELY their fault as I believe some just had poor training and were put into positions they weren't entirely ready to take on, however that isn't exactly an excuse because the regular employee suffers from the lack of adequate assistance and understanding. Most just seem over-worked and under-qualified for their position. There's also the extreme issue of favoritism and it seems that some can get away with hardly working while they'll crack down on people who meet their daily quota when they decide you aren't taking the position as seriously as they'd like. It's not a particularly hard or serious job. Most of your work will be simple clerical things and it'll definitely feel more like customer service than anything else they tell you. It's a job at the end of the day, there are good and bad parts and it's no worse than any retail job you can get. Just don't put too many eggs in the 'Express Scripts' basket. It's not a career.

Favoritism, if you are not kissing up to the supervisors, than you will go no where within the company. Was told I didn’t need my eyes to see to drive or do my job when i attempted to get accommodations. Was advised to purchase my own products for their computer systems.

Can be hectic from time to time dealing with angry patients. Some supervisors show favoritism, and it can be a lil unorganized from.
