Pros

benefits, PTO (if you allowed to take the days requested)

Cons

Management seems to be using "the book of failed management": heavy reliance on metrics (that are made up to have something to tabulate but are irrelevant to actual job), blame vs coaching (tho they have started using that moniker), keep employees isolated (as opposed to encouraging team-playing & problem solving), punish employees for questions about "opportunities" or for bringing "challenges" (& solutions) to light, organizational charts do not reflect chain of command (supervisors ignorant of subordinates responsibilities, could not take over for the employee, but full of negative feedback).

Pros

Great job with benefits ! Flexible schedule's, multiple positions, catered breakfast and lunch Monday through Friday.

Cons

All supervisor to PCA communication needed to improve, attendance policy needed to change the 12 point system for all employees and lastly their are not enough employee resources on and off the worksite.

Pros

Good benefits, that was it.

Cons

Micro managed, communications between employees and management is non-existent. Supervisors have too much on their plate to adequately perform as real supervisors. Much discrimination, very high call volume, system not updated correctly to be proficient at helping the clients especially the Medicare patients who do not even understand what the coverage gap is and/or how their plan works. Having to lie was the worst part, pharmacist were very rude to deal with.

Pros

Great healthcare There is nothing else really positive to say about the place. Working there really felt like a slave ship.

Cons

Random/mandatory OT Negative environment Constant harassment Slander Supervisors turn blind eye to wrong doings I could go on all day about this place . They have a VERY high turnover rate they are literally higher if ppl every 2weeks because of how they treat us there. If you're okay with being walked over and followed everywhere then you will be a great fit . If not this is not the place for you . I repeat , THIS IS NOT the place for you

Pros

Good work for people who love to problem solve. In my experience it was a friendly environment with every call being a different challenge.

Cons

One of the most stressful jobs I have ever had. Management lies about promotion opportunities and turnaround time is very high. Was told by multiple supervisors that asking for a raise is not allowed (you only get one of your supervisor likes you). Impossible to provide actual customer service because company is obsessed with call time and expects you to sacrifice service to patients. No incentive to improve skills and stats

Pros

Coworkers were friendly; benefits started on the first day

Cons

Micromanagement, don't care about employees, don't listen to employees, got rid of the hard working people, supervisors did any and everything to fire people, didn't not communicate important things to employees, no work-life balance, no consistency (shift bids), no advancement, work at home only offered to certain people instead of everyone.

Pros

Good PTO. Supervisors that care about their team members. Work from home in many positions.

Cons

Different departments, working toward same goal, have no idea what the others are doing. No cohesion between LOBs.

Pros

Flexible schedules, decent resume building potential if you put in effort, it's a job that pays you decent (not the best pay for Phoenix area pbm. I'd advise to get in and get out)

Cons

It's like high school, a lot of clique networks, trash talking and gossip. It's not unusual for supervisors and leads to have relationships with lower level techs. Express scripts' internal culture is typical office politics, it's about who you know and not your skills - you will not advance if someone on the 'inside' network doesn't want you to have that position. There are people in upper management who got their jobs the same way, which creates a lot of messes throughout every level of the company. CEO George Paz was too cheap and destroyed the company's reputation, which is why so many client contracts are not being renewed. Current CEO Tim Wentworth is a Theater graduate and running a pharmaceutical company, that should tell you enough. ESI is under several legal messes and layoffs, while many employees go into work everyday with barely enough work because ESI is 'overstuffed' = more layoffs on the way. Instability is ESI's moto. They're quick to hire, quick to fire, quick to ruin something good (it's cyclic at ESI for things to be good, upper management wants to make 'changes', changes make everything a disasterous mess, they boot the bulk of the 'change' and things get good again, repeat). Jump ship before it's too late, I don't see DOD renewing their contract with ESI because they've dropped the ball too many times. Through all the messes and treating employees like garbage, CEOs and executives still get paid their base salary of millions on top of their 7 figure bonuses.
