Negative place to work

Business Outlook

Pros

Standard benefits just like every other PBM/pharmacy, free coffee and tea, and you can listen to music via single headphone while you work. Four day work weeks with 3 days off in a row.

Cons

Negative work environment. Currently none of the hourly workers are getting full time hours except for warehouse. No formal written training. One trainer or lead can tell you one thing and the very next day it is changed and then changed back again. This is incredibly poor leadership and very backwards for a large corporation. Favoritism abounds and almost seems encouraged by upper management. Money is wasted on inventory, labor, and mysterious nearly daily catered meals to the upper echelon. Six core values are posted on the wall but they are just words on the wall. The values do not go both ways. We are encouraged to submit ideas but almost all ideas are shot down only to reappear months later under another contributor name or by the echelon in the sky. There are few if any advancement or improvement opportunities for ordinary employees and the ones that technically do exist are taken/full.

Pros

Lots of training available, plenty of work in each queue , plenty of management involvement and review of productivity

Cons

Sick leave policies can be punitive , never allowed to cash out, use it or lose it. Managers can black ball employee, then out the door. Time management discourages interaction with peers. Poor home/work balance .

Revolving Door

Pros

Paid 8 weeks 8-10 weeks of training. Bonus received at the end of the month (last pay check) depending on how well your BOT & OPI score. BOT=retail to mail, sending fax requests to doctor offices, submitting renewal requests for Rx's. OPI=good attendance, on time for/from breaks and lunch, etc.

Cons

After January of each year the company seemingly finds a way to fire people or give out write ups. You learn absolutely nothing in training. They base everything on "integrity" which the Supervisors, Managers, and upper management is lacking. Program system is outdated.

Pros

Truly superb management and resources team. The training facilitators I began my career with were still available to be used as a resource even months after graduating from training. There is also a great team of diversifed individuals that work really hard at being employee and family centric. Full-benefits.

Cons

Communication about changes is very inconsistent. There is a lot of playing around with different skills in order to maximize the money coming in vs. the money going out that they are paying their employees. Compared to other large corporations, their entry-level customer service position pay is very low. Corporation as a whole is not employee centric. Career growth is talked about a lot, but is a lot more difficult to attain than they allude to.
