Great job, but low pay and lack of growth opportunities

Pros

You'll be working with very shrewd and passionate colleagues. This is, by and large, the best thing about working at Fareharbor. Another great part of the job is that you really feel taken care of - there are various incentives that prioritise the mental health of employees that really do put staff members first. For the most part, your voice will be heard and prioritised. Another great part of being employed at FareHarbor is that it's a great opportunity for people starting their careers - so expectations are not as lofty as you might find in other tech companies. Managers really work hard to make sure you are flying in your role!

Cons

Unfortunately, salaries can be low, especially for Account Executives. A striking downside in FareHarbor is that the admirable 'we're-in-a-tribe' mentality is not effectively institutionalised, with clear fissures existing between teams. Since many people at FareHarbor are very young and inexperienced, expect widespread gossiping out of the office and the occasional high-school mentality within it. Lastly, many people at FareHarbor complain about not being afforded much responsibility. This is a problem for more experienced professionals who thrive under the promise of career growth within the company.

We also put a lot of effort into our mental health initiatives and making sure everyone's voices is being heard. We hear your feedback, and we want to let you know that we are constantly working on providing our managers the resources and tools to guide employees while at the same time making sure they can provide employees with an overview for a career path/growth possibilities. Additionally, last year we reviewed compensation and defined our pay structure as a company in-line with the local standards for each role, which is something we value tremendously. Hard-working people are the heart & soul of this company. A shame that many are not treated well by management

Pros

1. They will hire you if you are competent. They don't seem to care very much about previous experience but more if you are a good fit which is great. 2. A young, fun and very hard working team. Most of the people working here are millennials with management being slightly older 3. The culture is quite diverse and for the most part the company is flexible in their day-to-day approach to work.

Cons

1. Salary is on the lower end. 2. They like to use the word Dwift A LOT which stands for "do whatever it effing takes". Personally not a huge fan of this because it fosters the expectation that one should regularly go above and beyond without any sort of recognition or benefit given to that person apart from possibly a small shoutout.

Great Team, Bad Management

Pros

If you want, you can acquire a lot of knowledge within the company, teams workers are very close to one another

Cons

There is a lack of good management; you are not compensated by your good work; you are not accountable for bad work either; bad workers are overly compensated. In the end you get frustrated for all the bad decisions being taken inside the company
