Pros

There is no "not your job" attitude - if you have an idea you are encouraged to pursue it. Great work-life balance, especially with remote positions and many wellness/social events to break out a day and monotony. Amazing company culture, I have seriously not had a single interaction with anyone in the company that I felt was negative, inclusion and respect are the baseline and Fetch clearly puts a LOT of care when interviewing to make sure the culture fit is there. I can't stress enough just how much I enjoy going to work and interacting with my colleagues. The company puts as much care into the product and user's experience as they do with employees. In terms of career development in less than 1 year with the company I was given the opportunity to develop my skills more than what has been afforded to me in the previous 5 with other companies. If you have the will to learn they have the resources and are absolutely not shy about allocating them towards you and even encourage people taking advantage of this.

Cons

While there is a clear outline of basic work there is a bit of chaos (intentionally) around projects. If you are looking to just be told what to do for 8 or 10 hours every day this is absolutely not for you and you need to be able to find your own projects and network with other people in your own department or within the company. The company organizes everything around CST so if you are remote and in a different time zone there can be some issues being able to attend some of the events/meetings the company holds.

Started off great, has become a very micromanaged environment lately- don’t know how much longer I’ll be here.

Pros

✅Unlimited PTO- every request for time off I’ve put in has been accepted— although there is an expectation in their minds that you won’t take more than 20 days off per year. Honestly that’s reasonable, but why advertise it as unlimited PTO then? Idk! Just some feedback! ✅Remote work ✅Get to recognize other coworkers using the “hey taco” app. You can give your coworkers virtual tacos, which can be exchanged for rewards once you acquire a certain amount of “tacos”.

Cons

❌Micromanaged- I have never been so micromanaged at any other job in my life… and I come from a background of metric based jobs, so that says something. As soon as you start working on an email, a timer appears. They don’t want you to spend more than 2-3 minutes per email, if you do, you will not hit the metrics they have outlined for you, and you will most likely be fired. Most weeks, I have more than one meeting per week with my boss just to review my numbers. Additionally, we have shadow sessions, where they request you to share your screen so they can watch how you work. During this time, you sit in total silence while a superior such as your supervisor just watches what you do. Maybe they think this will help, but it most definitely does not. Many of my teammates have shared that sentiment as well, it feels like they are breathing down our necks. I regularly get messages from my superior asking why a certain metric would be off even if it was just for one day. It does not feel good! ❌The company has a health and wellness coach (and she is fantastic!!!), but the problem is, once I started using her services, then it was “you’re not spending enough time on your actual work”… which I found very frustrating. They want 7 out of 8.5 hours of your shift to be spent on actual work. Mind you, you need to take away a 30 minute lunch break and two 15 minute breaks. So that leaves you at 7.5 hours now. So you have ~30 minutes daily to utilize for non work related tasks, such as if there is a yoga session, a breathing session, etc. The problem is, there are so many meetings, that they fill up your “30 minutes” of allotted time, so then if you do decide to take advantage and use the wellness coach, or one of their optional programs, it’s a no no. That was something they brought up numerous times in the interview process and something I really wanted to utilize. ❌The schedule. You will work every single weekend day unless you get PTO. Additionally, you will work on holidays unless it somehow miraculously falls on one of your regular days off.

Best job I've ever had, seriously.

Pros

I know, I know, I'm a Recruiter so of course, I'm going to say it's great, but Fetch Rewards is REALLY that great. Growth is not linear, it's what you make it. If you've felt "stuck in your lane" in past jobs, Fetch Rewards is literally a career playground. To be fair, if you like tons of structure and constant updates from your manager throughout the day, this may not be the best fit. They trust you to run with tasks here. I've learned a lot here with regards to DEI, which was a huge goal for me when I was deciding between Fetch's offer and other company offers I'd received. The programs here are what sold me. One standout in particular was a gender pronouns practice sheet that Diana, our Diversity and Inclusion Specialist passed around. A lot of that was new for me, but creating a safe space for me to learn encouraged me to become a lot more familiar with these concepts. That makes me better, and it makes the environment more inclusive. I'm so proud of that. I feel like I'm assessed based on my skills and not the way I look or sound, which has not always been my experience as a female professional. We also have an ERG called Amplify Women, which provides extra advice and support. Work/life balance is top-notch. I have recently had to sign up for Classpass because I have so much free time on my hands now. That probably sounds silly, but I used to work 12 hour days, and now, I have to actually find my hobbies again :)

Cons

Not every day is going to be perfect, anyone who promises that is a walking red flag. That said, I find the pros infinitely outweigh the cons, and every job will have cons. It took some time to adjust to the freedom as I've always been micromanaged, but I can DEFINITELY get used to this.
