Pros
Lots of small perks, vouchers and free coffee. They did actually pay me on time. Got to meet lots of people due to average 6 month retention time or less.
Cons
Terrible work life balance with completely randomised shift pattern leading to massive social issues. Furthermore any ideas you have of holiday will go out of the window once you see the request system . The 19th century ideas on acceptable holiday leaving times. Even 6 months advance notice doesn't meet business needs for more than a single day off. No HR support with any workplace bullying which is rife due to managers apathy to anyone below them. Inappropriate work behavior is expected and as far as I can tell encouraged. As with the valentines poem to a coworker work compition made my skin crawl. A company by looking at many management and coworkers sleeping to the top is a must in the MoScoW success criteria. Don't expect others or superiors to listen to any valid issues either. Expect your managers to ignore any ideas or requests for any kind of support. Training was inadequate and completely unrepresentative of work required after the training period. Also don't expect them to correctly pay your taxes even payroll somehow doesn't understand they're in the UK. Plus they can't even hold onto your information to refer to it on file if your worried about them having it. Most coworkers are nice enough people however most unskilled or unaware of the role. Leading to massive teams taking a long time on simple tasks as a thousand apes may write one sentence of shakespeare. Which I propose the company relies on to justify the presumably spiraling charges to the UK banking industry. If I were one of the big three I'd find someone else who has 1/100th the team of actually capable employees.
