Pros

Mainly good people. Hybrid option. Nice offices.

Cons

In the past 6 months (2023), is beginning to fail miserably. Someone else mentioned "Good 'ol boys club," and I concur. There has been a drastic change from a forward-thinking, strong, and modern push to an archaic, fossilized, and old-school though process. It is visible in all areas. C-suite is now composed of an exclusive club of older white males, whose ideas start and stop with them. DEI is non-existent in higher levels, and what used to be a highly collaborative company with a clear open-door policy and employee-first vibe has now downgraded to a cube farm with empty promises and employees wishing for the way things used to be before the old CEO returned.

Pros

Free health insurance and that is about it.

Cons

1. No career ladders. 2. Not much opportunity to learn skills that you can use to advance your career outside of Five9. You may get the bigger title but not useful skill sets outside. 3. Suddenly, new CEO decided that all employees within 50 miles from the office are mandatory to go to the office (which was not the case even before the COVID). 4. PTO is 3 weeks, but you need to spend 3 days at the end of year, so you have only 12 days you can freely use. And no Sick Leave. 5. 401K match is only $500 per quarter.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your insight. Opportunities for continued learning and development was a key area of improvement identified for us during our most recent engagement survey. We are committed to providing employees with the necessary tools to feel enabled and empowered to grow and develop in their careers. We have been working diligently to provide more structure around growth and learning and welcome the opportunity to learn more about what this looks like for you. Our strong culture is the key to our success. We believe bringing employees together in person fosters collaboration, creativity, and connectedness. We’ve invited employees near our offices back in and support our remote employees through local in-person events. We are excited to be working together to bring joy to our customers and each other. As a growing company, we are continually reviewing our total rewards strategy including 401K and time off. This year, we were thrilled to include additional paid days off as well as recognizing Juneteenth, bringing the total paid time off to 29 days. Additionally, we were thrilled to recently roll out global access for all covered employees to an innovative mental health support platform that offers personalized care and resources in areas such as: therapy, coaching and self-guided mindfulness exercises. We appreciate feedback in all forms and would love to hear more about what is and isn't working for you at Five9. We have an amazing team of People Partners and encourage you to reach out to your designated People Partner or Tricia Yankovich directly to further discuss.

Pros

Fair salary, good benefits, lunch on Fridays

Cons

Management favors sales and doesn’t seem to understand that other departments exist and have needs. Promotions are only available to family and friends. Morale is at an all time low and management doesn’t care.
