Pros
I am very happy working at FMG. This is mainly because of the people, I genuinely enjoy so many of the people that I work with. Everyone on my research team is smart, motivated, and kind. Most of the projects that I've worked on are interesting and have a clear and tangible impact. The company is growing and expanding, which is exciting to be a part of. I am happy with my work-life balance, though some weeks are busy, the comp time policy works well. And there are a lot of fun office perks and events that bring employees together.
Cons
Employee satisfaction seems to vary across teams, and I do know co-workers who are less satisfied. The rapid growth of the company comes with growing pains including the challenge of keeping up with the new hires and making sure that everyone has a good onboarding experience and is made to feel part of their team and the challenges of staffing new contracts appropriately. Standard processes are in pretty good shape but will be continuing to expand and evolve as the company grows, which can be challenging at times.
