Pros

The insurance and time off benefits are good.

Cons

Toxic environment. Leadership doesn’t intent on doing the right thing and spends more time covering up serious issues. Good people have tried to do the right thing and become targeted by management and leave the company. Members on my team became targeted by management for pointing out issues from other manager abusing their position to incorrectly gain access to controlled GMP spaces, breaking a number of company policies, putting the company at many risks, including risking company insurance, and were untrained for the task at hand. Management failed to follow proper investigation protocol and covered it up. This improper coverup is a Major FDA Concern. There is paperwork that will be provided on request that will confirm this is all Facts, as the company culture is based around coverups. Both my employee and myself knew once he reported the issue his days were limited as were mine. There are clear double standard at this location. Terrible work life balance. My team as well as many others are understaffed and aren’t able to do our jobs effectively and required to work a lot of unpaid overtime.

Pros

Pay was excellent for the industry and you’ll need it for the therapy and prescriptions.

Cons

Management- Higher Ups are only concerned with padding their pockets and bonuses. Literally, the worst company I have ever worked for. Racism across all ethnicities, sexism, harassment, orientation hostility, hostile work environment just to name a few. When management was made aware of problems, I was told I needed to talk to those who were harassing me instead and to be a “team player!” This is the “Good Ol’ Boys” Club where people are promoted who should never had been hired. This company treats their employees like indispensable dogs. As for their products, I wouldn’t trust them. If they heard the FDA was coming, they’d move questionable equipment off site in rental storage containers. After I left there, the PTSD I had lasted for years! When I say “run”, I mean don’t even look at this place!! Take the advice of someone who worked there for over a decade and save your health and sanity by working somewhere else!

Pros

- Nice coworkers and facilities - Company's product is meaningful - Good benefits (401K, health care, etc.) - Good coffee machine

Cons

- Pay is very low (for engineers with a BS and/or MS degree, FDBT pays 19-21 $/hr, which is approximately 45K-53K per year -- this is lower than any other entry-level engineering position available on the market). - Company is internally not prepared for 24-hr operations (most nightshifts don't do any actual processing and only involve daily/weekly/monthly/equipment cleaning of rooms); there is no training available for nightshifts (for a technician to perform certain tasks, they have to complete in-person trainings, which are not available during second shift) - Internal transfer of position between departments (e.g., Manufacturing, Process Sciences, Process Development, etc.) or between shifts (i.e., day and night shifts) are rare if not impossible. Despite being told during the interview process that people receive incremental promotions every 6 months to a year, this is not the case. Workers are kept in their current position for >1 year (~>2 yrs) without any change in title or income. - Not a flexible schedule for shift workers. You still have to work national holidays, and working nights kills all personal life (for only a 15% pay increase).
